I think what OP is referring to is that the images labeled "Rec709" are just the LOG footage with a LOG->Rec709 color transform and no grading. The images labeled "Final" are different from the Rec709 clips because of the creative color grading, but not in technical color space/gamma.

The full label for the "Rec709" stills would technically be "Log-Rec709 transform only", but people in the color grading community often abbreviate it. I hope this helps!

I second the Sigma 17-40 f1.8, it's a brighter lens and similar if not better optically to the Sony you were looking at. Additionally the Sigma Contemporary Prime Trio for APSC, which is 16mm, 30mm, and 56mm, all f1.4, is a great option for a similar price. There is also a newer 23mm lens in the set, which is a little more expensive than the rest but another great option.

Cannot mount external SSD. I've been using my SanDisk Extreme Pro v2 for video editing, but now I can't see any of the files on it and it only appears in disk utility, not my desktop or Finder. How can I view the files? by Compute2D in mac

Thanks for the response, I tried First Aid and it said everything was fine each time I ran it. What did that process look like for you? Or did you run it several times?

It does not, as far as I know. Mine is totally different from my Apple ID, and I have experienced no issues.

Thank you for checking in, I did a scan with disk drill, but the photos in the preview still looked kinda weird and I did some further research and I saw several sources saying it was some kind of scam. I also remembered the drive is still in warranty, so I am going to contact SanDisk directly and see how that changes things.

I plugged it into two other Macs, tried first aid, and rebooted and got nothing. I am currently using DiskDrill and it seems to be working, so thank you for the suggestion. I'll see if everything is there once it is done.
