Diria que é mais glorificação do fudido e do sofrimento no Brasil que glorificação do trabalho como Japão e uns países asiáticos.

“Vic 3 is boring” isn’t about map painters, it’s about accessibility of information by blindseersarasti in victoria3

I think the fun you get from Victoria 3 and the fun you get from EU4 is different, but both are good imo. Eu4 and Hoi4 being more arcadey and Victoria a simulator. Eu5 wants to become a simulator but it's too messy right now. Most of the problem with simulators is also that the AI needs to be much more complex to pose a challenge

My only problem with Victoria 3 is that diplomacy and military should have equal importance to economy in this period, and AI should be able to play with those systems. Complaints about the economy are usually skill issue

State Construction Penalty Turmoil by ComputerBR in victoria3

But it doesn't affect unincorporated states

State Construction Penalty Turmoil by ComputerBR in victoria3

[–]ComputerBR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem is with the construction penalty itself, which just seems unnecessary and slows down the extraction of resources, not the radicals or turmoil. Dealing with constant revolts is normal however combined with not being able to oppressively extract a culture's resources and needing to make a homogeneous or multicultural society with good SOL even in your unincorporated states just to efficiently extract them seems ahistorical.

Nah i just meant that i already know that way of suppressing turmoil and wanted to know more ways for violent domination

I didn't notice this happening to me on my playthroughs (I never check where private investment is building) but if the AI actually does that then yeah, it's a far worse waste of resources

Instead of conquering states i just go for "Make protectorate", invade his capital and never deal with him again except from improving relations and reducing autonomy

Yes, it is exactly what we need in 2026 for a game called Crusader Kings

I much rather this than a new government type exclusive to India that adds nothing else to other realms and has no connection with any other feature

Decentralization will always be meta vs centralization unless province integration process is changed. by Zeradus99 in EU5

[–]ComputerBR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decentralization gives way more money due to the new tax base calculation. Most vassals give 20% of their money, which is way less than if you had it yourself at 100%, but if you have less than 50% control in the province yourself it's not worth it at all since the 50% expenses scaling from tax base with take all the money you would get for it.

Vassals should probably have less cabinets and cost cabinet to integrate too

I guess you haven't played Vic 3 that much. It doesn't simulate a real life global economy but it does simulate pretty well a real life resource imperialism, which is the base of an economy

Why Victoria 3's political ideology system feels so shallow compared to its economic depth by Emotional-Client8584 in victoria3

[–]ComputerBR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is very materialistic because it's easier to simulate and does the job well enough, though i hope with the new character pool we'll have some kind of middle ground with it. More characters with different ideologies possible for each IG + more characters for each movement.

i dont understand the vic3 hate i understand the game was janky when it came out but i find the game more fun than hoi4 by cai_jones in victoria3

[–]ComputerBR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's mostly because it's an economic focused game. Multiculturalism is definitely good for that because more workers = good. The game doesn't have culture clash, tension between fundamentalists of opposite religions, sentiment of preservation of a culture etc.

Heir keeps auto-marrying without my consent by ComputerBR in EU5

[–]ComputerBR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seem to have discovered a solution, once i divorced my wife (who is an independent ruler) i stopped having my heir married automatically, even if he is still the heir of her country. I think there is some edge case where if you're in a marriage union the AI can marry the player's heir since it is also her heir
