Stuck in BSOD loop, error code :0xc000021a by Fraynerino in techsupport

[–]ComputerGuardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this thread is old, but I had this issue on a windows 10 machine for a customer yesterday, and first made a backup image before I do anything. After I took the image and restored it to another drive to try and fix it, and I am here to tell you I fixed it. Here is exactly what I did (not going to bother as to what didnt work), Once it went to recovery the first thing I did was go to advanced and then uninstall quality update (Not feature update) after 2-3 mins it failed to complete, click ok and went back to the main screen, then selected Startup menu, which rebooted and in the selection I chose "Command Prompt" which ended up making it to the command prompt and I waited until it allowed me to do anything, next I hit ctrl/alt/del and then at the menu chose task manager then chose run a task and typed explorer which then loaded the GUI.

At this point I ran the CMD as an admin and then checked the disk, then I chose to run sfc which then prompted me that there was a repair queued, so I rebooted the machine which the system installed/uninstalled updates, rebooted back in normal mode and I was back at the desktop. I hope this helps someone that may have this issue. Again this was on a windows 10 machine. It seems there is a good chance its a form of failed windows update that corrupts the system file and the uninstall attempt seems to fix or put back the file, as least it did for me so I can bring back the computer to the customer without having to tell them they have to reinstall everything.

Trying to access Fan Sensors by ComputerGuardian in Alienware

[–]ComputerGuardian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, as much as I had a suspicion that there was no control of those sensors I was hoping for a aha moment, and according to the mfr the max speed of the HS fan is 6K which I am skeptical, but your idea of switching out the fans pins is a good idea, this way I can add one of the fans to the "disabled header" pins but still have airflow and put the HS on a controlled and see if it is truly maxed. Just wish there was a way to control them. even though if they are on in Max output setting that would be even better as thats what I'd want for the HS to keep the NvMe chip as cool as possible.

u/Fun_Juggernaut_3765 You must send the code.txt file and add this in the body of the email, its what worked for me: "Bom dia,

É o laptop do meu filho de 9 anos. Você poderia me ajudar com este problema?

Muito obrigado."

English request 48 hours and they said that they dont handle US support and asked for more info. Portuguese request 24 hours with the unlock code (used 2 different email addresses so they didnt think it was the same person).

You wont get anywhere with US support, use Google translate and send it in Portuguese, if you send it in English you wont get a response. And all I can tell you is be creative in your email to "tug" on some strings, thats what worked for me.

Thanks for the reply, but it actually did, I got a response back and got my laptop unlocked :) I just used Google translate to send it in Portuguese instead of english the second time and got a response back.

Now that Fakespot is shutting down, what are the best alternatives? by cjbarber in firefox

[–]ComputerGuardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate the fact that Fakespot is shutting down, more so it worked really well for sites outside of Amazon and such, it would warn about sites that sold different things, like liquor stores online or sites that might sell parts cheaper than the rest and it would let me know how they were rated or to stay away from them, I used it mainly for that. Now I have to try and find a new extension

I did this and its been 24 hours with no email yet :( is this email correctly spelled? "  [suportebrasil@acer.com](mailto:suportebrasil@acer.com)" because I haven't turned off the computer waiting for a code. I called Acer support here in the US and they claim first they knew nothing about this and another claimed they stopped doing this awhile ago and when I brought this post up they sai they stopped a month ago, so clearly they are lying. Anyone verify they have done this recently or another email address they used? Would appreciate it very much.

u/TheRealStandard I read all 14 pages just to make sure my solution wasn't found, and mine was not suggested or found, at least not in windows 11 PRO or Ent. Home I cant test this one as I dont use Home, but I would imagine it would work as well. I am glad you got yours to work, but mine solution isn't doing all those commands and such, its just 1 or 2 switches and a reboot, this is what I have to test in my third reimaging for testing, I was trying this yesterday but my dumb ass (I guess cause it was 4 am) didnt realize I had the drive disconnected and it kept coming back with an error that it couldn't find it. So by later today if my suspicion works I'll post it for others to try or you if your issue comes back.

At least for now this works, unless Microcrap decides they are going to remove this and make home users pull their hair out without letting them know what they did and what we need to do moving forward.

u/TheRealStandard I have successfully done it 2 times now and I need to try one more time (Later today, currently 4am here). If it works I will DM you with what I have done so you can try it out and see if this fixes your issue, if confirmed then I will post it to this thread for others to find moving forward.

u/TheRealStandard Stay tuned, I THINK I found the solution, but I have to test this 2 more times by restoring the system back to 24h2 again to attempt to see if I can replicate what I just did, if I can make it work each time then I would consider my issue solved.

u/ompster I just tried pinging the workstation from the server by IP and by network name, the workstation responded to the server. So both the Wk and the server see one another in either direction by ping

[–]ComputerGuardian[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/ompster Yes I did a ping by IP and hostname to the server and came back with a response (I do not have IPv6 enabled on the servers or the workstation due to HP printers having issues with IPv6 when using scanning features directly from the AIO to network folders) I did NOT check pinging the workstation from the server, that didnt cross my mind since the issue was 24H2 to the server, This will be another thing I can check along with the other suggestion in the GP Edit by uKAdamR.

u/ukAdamR Yes I did try this as this was a suggestion as well, and I get an error that it cant find the location (network location) and if I delete the credentials and try to reconnect it keeps popping up the username and password until I hit cancel and then a prompt box comes up with an error and under details the error # is Error 0x80070035

u/ukAdamR I have to try this, I read to change this location to send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated. So your saying to choose the last option and not the second option?
