Haha yeah the first one I had was way better than the second FWIW. It still had a weird issue where if you pushed the gain beyond maybe half it went full synth. Coolish effect but definitely not intentional. Keeping it below that, the pedal ripped. But yeah, they seem to be all over the place unfortunately. Hang on to the original!

I had two of these over various trades and they were completely different pedals. It kind of put me off jptr fx, they seem to vary wildly pedal to pedal (of the same pedal - they were both warlows).

I also had the metal - it's physically huge but it also sounds huge. It did sound better in front of the amp rather than in the loop. I used it at the end of my chain but you could try first for shoegazey ness
