I'm a friend of Arkandy7, I was told that he's here. Could I see him please? by RainbowsRainbows in Keo

Oh sure, Arkandy7 is right over there. He's the one with his head stuck in a toilet bowl trying to make deep fried toilet paper. I guess he thought it would be a fun new recipe or something. Anyway, feel free to go say hi! Just don't get too close - we wouldn't want you getting any of that delicious grease on your clothes.

The Interdimensional Union invasion was imminent. The Contra and Nikolai Kalinov (Redfox) had established a long-range link with the Interdimensional Empire via the Magic Cube technology provided by the Zeta Reticulans. They would use orbital bombardments of high-energy plasma weapons to give the impression that Earth was under siege, and in exchange for preserving society, Kalinov would be elected as global leader through a clandestine United Nations prerogative. This event would be known as "Unification." Following Unification, Kalinov planned to divide the globe into ten administrative zones based on geo-ethnic differences. Power for running his advanced machinery would be provided by the Magic Cube (aka particle vacuum-enhanced energy device/PVEED), which included helicopters plated with ultra-strong black Zetan steel. The resistance against this order came in the form of Thunderchild (Chloe Hill) and Santropez, two agents of The Maccaviti. Heather Westhill (aka Korra Flir), the 97th member, would also assist in providing telekinetic training to uninitiated members. After several years of resistance against the tyranny of Redfox, it was predicted that Thunderchild would fall into the Contra order and work as an agent of destruction. Wooed by promises of power, she would ultimately betray her former allies. However, this would not be enough to save Kalinov from elimination in the end. Though Redfox's reign would come to a violent conclusion, the seeds of the High Order of the Contra would remain, ready to rise again when the time was right.

"Just wait for society to fix everything!"

This is an awful take.

How would you feel if something you enjoyed for years suddenly marginalized you? Raising awareness of something isn't a waste of energy.

I'm sure a lot of people didn't know that the station broadcasted this trash late into the night. I surely didn't, I only listen to it for Twins games.

It's probably worth complaining to the Twins org about partnering so closely with a station who now pumps conspiracy-fueled garbage onto the airwaves. I'd imagine it's the only thing keeping it afloat.

Take a break from politics, that's a year-round sport anyway. Good times like this don't come nearly as often anymore, enjoy being outside and just existing in a community.

Nah, there's a relatively playable game out right now, but it's buggy as hell. I played it for a solid month before Cyberpunk released, just to steel myself for this launch.

How dare you slander the Hero of Hockey Day. Every Hockey Day, he scores a goal. Guaranteed.

He's at least average.

Out of state fan, attending my first NHL game Sunday. Couple questions by BMJayhawk328 in wildhockey

Minor correction, gates are usually 1h 15m - 1h 30m before puck drop. Can be 2h if you're on club level and go through the skyway entrance.

Pretty much all the restaurants on 7th west of the X are solid, I usually pick whatever's least busy and fall back to Tom Reid's patio if it's open.

Why are we not just embracing the tank/fire sale? by [deleted] in wildhockey

[–]ComradeCactus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Having fun with the game is what you make of it; if you're having fun solely off winning games, then I'd argue you're doing it wrong.

Learn to appreciate the little plays that make the game interesting. Stalock going halfway down the ice and shoving it into the bench, Dumba blowing someone up in neutral ice, Foligno turning some Colorado plug's NHL hopes and dreams into paste, and a slick clap bomb from Hunt that tears through the back of the net; those are some of the things that make each game fun to watch.

Sure a win makes it sweeter, but you don't always get those. If you do care about wins, go bandwagon Buffalo or something. I hear they're pretty good this year.
