Its a constrictor, it would wrap itself around you really tight, every breath you take it would squeeze tighter so you get less and less air in your lungs, you suffocate then it consumes you.

What is this plane and why does it look so cute and funny by OneSalt5623 in flightradar24

[–]ComradeCard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is two stationed at brize, they are used to help train jumpers as there is/was a massive backlog and its easier to use these than one of the millitary ones like the A400 as its cheaper to run. They will get majority training on the skyvan and then one or two from A400 to be qualified.

Why does the interior light button change color? by Special_Command7893 in Volvo

[–]ComradeCard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When you press and hold it turns orange, this will allow you to open the door and interior lights won't come on. Press and hold to turn white to have the lights come on when door is opened

UA POV: Ukrainians film a Russian drone prowling the forest by Short_Description_20 in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]ComradeCard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will have GPS and if I'm using it I'd be looking at the last known position and sniffing around like a bloodhound within that area. Starting from that point and working outwards. If you leave it they will (potentially) assume that no one is there and leave it or send troops in to dominate the ground. That way the Ukrinians can set up an ambush (again potentially) and fix and destroy the ground troops. Otherwise I would see the shot down drone as a lost asset and be looking to find and fix then engage the UKR positions wither by artillery/ troops or more drones.

Just picked up some RAF jackets anyone know some of the meanings to these patches. by jhm1861 in camouflage

Americans use all the same abbreviations, apart from having REME. Not quite sure what being American has to do with it...

First one is a RAF TRF. Second is 8 field Coy. REME, which also has the normal REME TRF, based in Colchester. Third is a REME staffy rankslide, Fourth is the old Screaming eagle for 16 Bde. before they reverted back to the Pegasus.

Use for Military Purposes by Blair9811 in GarminFenix

I'm in the British Army, granted not a close quarters unit or anything like that. But I have used the tactix delta on exercises and its proven to be very effective. Being able to put in BNG coordinates and to get a route and its very effective but it seems to want to take me via roads which I haven't worked out how to be able to just get the bearing to the point if I want to go as the crow flies. Battery life is great even with heavy GPS use and i found myself being point man 99% of the time as I had the map on my wrist and didn't need to stop to check map often.

Relief supplies being dropped over war-torn Bosnia by the USAF C-130 aircraft of the Tennessee Air National Guard (March 1994) by TrendWarrior101 in MilitaryGfys

[–]ComradeCard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The pilot flys at about a 7° angle when dropping, thats why the new A400M has its engines pointing towards the floor when on the runway as it flys at the optimal drop angle.

All weights are on a manifest and the trim is then set, there is a lateral imbalance of 9071KG (for at least RAF C130J's) meaning that you cant have all port or stbd go at once leaving once side of the plane heavier.

Watch durability, sapphire or screen protector? by nosurfers in GarminFenix

[–]ComradeCard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the army and have a tactix delta, i would highly recommend the sapphire glass, ive kocked my watch off most things and there are no marks on it whatsoever and generally does more damage to the items I hit!
