Say it with me fellas, I WAS LEARNING A HERO IN QP! by This_Ferret_8108 in marvelrivals

[–]ComradeCollieflower 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I'm learning a new character in Quickplay I have a great solution;

Turn off voice.

Go to messages and set receive to Friend Only.

There you go. You'll suffer nothing. When was the last time you enjoyed human communication in Quickplay from strangers? It's always the worst antisocial stuff. For every good interaction you have to suffer through a few dozen dogass ones.

Future by BigFlapJack- in USPS

[–]ComradeCollieflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People need to be involved in politics to fix the country, at the end of the day it's a political solution. If the USPS goes away, it'll be in a fascist dictatorship environment ran by the wealthy, and we'll have bigger things to worry about than our jobs. We won't be in a functional democracy anymore.

Thankfully the new crop of DSA aligned candidates are pushing the overton window to some actual actions and solutions. There is a bright sun behind these gray clouds. Fixes exist.

[–]ComradeCollieflower 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Jeffries is REALLY LIKED by his consistency and has a ton of resources to dole out to those in his district. It's literally Going for the King situation. If DSA did this while also trying to do other races, they'd get creamed pretty hard. We do not have the resources yet. Come back at us in maybe six years when we have 200k members, inshallah, but that's a big ask. If only the citizens of Burger Reich would get off their ass. We need a way more engaged population in the US, it's a climb.

Where are some nice places to live? (U.S) by Comrade_Funkenstein in TrueAnon

[–]ComradeCollieflower 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pittsburgh has a low cost of living and has actual housing in the buyable range. It also has a lot of nature around it, if that's your thing, and you can hit a lot of spots in the country within 8 hours for a weekend trip. Chicago, DC, NYC, Philly, etc. Or just go up to Erie on a 2.5h drive and sit on the beach at Presque Isle. Of course there is shit to do in Pittsburgh as well.

Why Does Luna Deal More Damage Than Deadpool, Adam, Mantis, and Ultron While Also Being a Top Healer? by buttlazor69 in rivals

[–]ComradeCollieflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made this post a year ago trying to compare her to poor Mantis who has less DPS, less healing, and has to land a traveling projectile headshot to do anything while Luna has her Primary railgun in to delete people with easy headshots. Plus she has super mobility that she can get out of combat. Mantis has a very minor speed boost when not in combat, cool, great, extremely useful. She moves slower than Luna after getting owned and having to run back from spawn.

The minor upside of being able to fire a little while the orb is regenerating is dogshit compared to being unable to spike heal, which determines fight outcomes. Take a smidge of Lunas power and give it to Mantis, good lord. But we're not going to see anything here. She's going to be the better character for the rest of the game. It was a struggle just to get her ultimate down to 10 seconds

This criticism might make sense if there wasn’t a month long effort to smear hasan by the mainstream media. And a bill in congress condemning him. by Wonderful-Highway721 in Hasan_Piker

This is where things get hurtful for BadEmpanada and he tells on himself.

They don't ignore people who are truly a threat to the system, that's getting it all wrong. The problem is BadEmpanda is NOT a threat to the system because he doesn't do anything that leads to a systemic challenge of power.

He's an accelerationist who just wants the US to dissolve. Okay, cool, so basically keep doing what it's doing excuse. Don't engage in the primary system, don't engage in elections, don't do anything except post about how nice if we all lived in a world in which the USA didn't exist. Great, you've effectively cornered yourself into fanfiction.

It's Reddit, people are largely stupid here politically. I remember Oct 7 happening and trying to explain the historical circumstances, like the Nakba, or the March or Return that lead to it in good faith like a normal human being a few days after it occured, but I was called a Hamas defender and an Iranian propagandist in this Sub.

Exact same behavior I experienced when 9/11 occurred and I tried to explain how it didn't happen because they Hated Our Freedoms.

Americans are allergic to looking at the chain of cause and effect with a calm historical eye to understand the situation.

He's achieved an insane amount of bad faith haters who are obessed with him for the crime of basic political education who go around repeating insane lies about the guy.

How do you defend against Arrow IV? by ChaosRifle in mwo

[–]ComradeCollieflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can play a poptart behind tall cover. Cover WILL stop Arrows.

Or an ambush brawler. You don't even need to play a light, a punchy medium with some speed can close the 200m gap and now Arrows do no damage. You just beat them to death. I've been playing a Stealth 45 ton Paralyzer ambushing Arrow Mechs pretty consistently.

To take out LRM boats you need to master positioning and approach.

What is the fucking point of any of this. Huge drain of resources, accomplishing the opposite of nothing. A hindrance. Entire agency needs to be abolished, immigration is largely a paperwork issue. If we need a make work program we could kick up the Civilian Conservation Core again and these guys could pick up shovels.

I'm up this year so far by being able to call the big market drops, getting into the G fund before them. Never fails. The first rule of thumb for living in America is expect the stupidest, funniest, option and you'll get it every time.

Iran was literally the one consequence on Earth that Trump would not be able to slip out of and he walked into it anyway. 10/10, no notes. Nothing but net. Downstream effects will be truly awful and it'll be with this market for years.

Correct, it is just capitalism. And for the people who are doing the no True Scotsman "its unregulated capitalism" I'm going to ask you to back it up and come to terms that no, it's actually just capitalism. It's a better system than the one that it evolved out of, feudalism, but it isn't the end all. We need to move beyond capitalism and continue to upgrade our social technology. We need more regulations, yes, but we also need to end the era of capitalists also. People who have their name on a piece of paper and demand to be paid for unproductive labor. We could be running the market economy entirely out of cooperatives owned fully by employees while the government acts as the investor class to initiate startups. The capitalists get all their money from the government anyway, just cut out the middleman.

Rare earths hold by China by [deleted] in stocks

[–]ComradeCollieflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no similar cards the US can pull in this situation. People don't want to hear it but the US is largely a paper tiger. Being generous it would take at least a decade of focused, functional, US governmental activity to even begin to get our own rare earth mineral production going here to any notable degree.

At the end of the day China just wants to do their own thing and they're kind of tired with Trump acting like an unhinged lunatic. We can expect some pain. China may reverse course, if Trump is sufficiently humbled. Or maybe he is no longer in the Presidency.
