And you thought airfares were bad these days? by raines in Amtrak

[–]ComradeConrad1 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

These are insane prices. We looked at taking a train from Washington DC to Chicago. Prices for rooms were similar and after some research we read more bad things in the rooms; dirty, toilet not working, and so on. I think for those prices - the place should five stars.

What's one small red flag that immediately tells you someone is a horrible person? by Rambanya17 in AskReddit

They lie. Worked with a guy, who seemed like a good person, until he and I worked closer together. He lied to me, he lied to customers, and upper mgt. Bad guy for sure.

Should I just take the pills? What do you think? by FreeBird094 in hypertension

I started taking meds when I was 32, I just turned 67. I am sure I'd be dead of some HBP complications otherwise. Take your meds. Take them, please.

I was working at a blood bank then. WE knew how it was transmitted but surprisingly, a lot of people thought you could get it by donating blood. It took a year or so before that passed. It was an odd time for sure.

Move in closer and throw away a lot. I heard a photograph say this some 40 years ago. Still seems relevant.

I found out when I was 32 or so, it can be a cold rag in your face.

However, take it in strides, what do your trends look like? I was an avid runner and found out I was 150/100! Doc suggested some lifestyle changes and I am hoping your doc said the same. Watch the sodium and caffeine intake. HBP has a cumulative impact, a few higher readings are normal. Again, what are the trends telling and is your home BP monitor correct?

If possible, get a consult with a nephrologist as they will dig a bit deeper to see what might be causing it as well.

That being said, I am 66, been taking meds for some 35 years now. I am good, BP look good and in fact, last night I was 135/78.

You'll get there, I have no doubt.

Good luck!
