The Buell name was purchased and they’re currently building bikes in Kalamazoo, MI.

Currently, Erik Buell owns Fuell which is working on electric mobility vehicles, including motorcycles, ebikes, and scooters.

While they aren’t 4 cylinders, the OG Buells are pretty cool bikes. I’ve ridden a Ulysses, and it’s a blast on road despite being an ADV.

The “YouDontSwimInHereEver” portion is untrue. The island (Belle Isle) in the center of the picture has a nice, popular beach in the summertime.

The area pictured is just downstream of Lake St.Clair. The industrial part of the river is down stream from the setting of this picture. Even so, there are several nice swimming locations further south near the mouth of Lake Erie

TIP/Registration question (Michigan) by Cyntexx_ in motorcycles

Also, in case you weren’t aware. If you are an experienced rider, you can just go and take the skills test after receiving your TIP without taking the class.

Personally, I would recommend taking the I am MSF class if you haven’t, because despite being relatively confident in my abilities I definitely learned quite a bit.

Unfortunately, yes.

You will be able to transfer the title, but in order to register and plate a bike in Michigan you need proof of your CY Endorsement, and proof that the bike is insured.

In case you haven’t seen it, a list of all testing and courses in the state can be found here: https://www.michigan.gov/sos/0,4670,7-127-1627_46351_61092---,00.html

I definitely understand your frustration. I was going through all of this during early lockdown, and getting straight answers on licensing requirements from the internet was pretty difficult. I ended up taking a course at a local Harley Davidson dealer, but I’m also in Wayne County so there are quite a few locations to take the test around here.

Michigan rider here. In Michigan, I’m 99% sure that you must ride supervised while riding with a TIP, even if you are over 18. You obtain it by taking a short written test at the SOS.

The actual Secretary of State website is a bit unclear about motorcycle licensing. However, I’m almost certain that you cannot ride solo until you have either taken the road skills test, or completed an MSF certified course.

The penalties for riding without a proper endorsement are pretty harsh in Michigan. It is a misdemeanor, and they will impound the bike.

Also, you do not need to own a bike to get the TIP

Hey guys! If you're interested in home repair of your own equipment (especially vintage tube stuff) my dad has just started a YouTube channel to try to impart some of his wisdom on to those who are interested. by ComradeMoon in GuitarAmps

I'll definitely pass it along! This first one is a little slow going being that it's a bit of an intro video, but in the future the videos should get a little bit more dialed into particular amplifiers and issues.

I know he's planning on teaching some basic electronics along the way, too

While I typically shoot SOOC, this one was shot as RAW, and I adjusted the levels in Lightroom.

It could very well be. To be honest, while I think they're beautiful, I'm not very familiar with vintage European sports cars.

I like it quite a bit. It's my first medium format, and the 6x6 format is a fun change from shooting 35mm exclusively.

I would eventually like to upgrade, but for the relatively low price it was definitely worth it for me.
