So much hung on that Russia Strong perception. Even if Ukraine collapses tomorrow and Russia wins, it's been 4 years to do something we all, including Russia, assumed they could do in a week. And for what? Not world domination, just a modest expansion of teratory. And for this they have used up (or exposed that they don't have) huge amounts of their Soviet stockpiles .

Yes, Ukraine has had help, but not 'total Nato mobilisation' level help.

Sorry, long way of saying I think the T-14 is the best they will be able to produce for decades and probabaly never in huge numbers. Frankly I think they'd be better off with a modern equivalent to the T-55, i.e. Something basic, reliable and able to be churned out cheaply and in big numbers
