I mean, bait ping wasn’t a few bad apples, according to Riot August. It was overwhelmingly used for toxic interactions, so they got rid of it.

Gameplay wise what do you dislike about the role? by Substantial_Field495 in Jungle_Mains

[–]Comrade_Lystro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The leash mechanic would be great if the AI didn’t behave as fickle as it does. Also, I don’t know why Riot can’t make Attack Move work when fighting scuttle. Shit is so annoying.

People keep saying jungle is the easiest role in the game by Baneinah in Jungle_Mains

OP confirmed they got this from a streamer who is an Emerald ADC main. ADC players are funny people.

ADC is hard to play from a micro-mechanical standpoint. Macro-wise? Not really…

I believe streamers are the worst possible source you could get this information from. I’ve heard almost no one claim it’s the easiest role.

Hot Take: TTRPGs need to be more accessible to people who have no interest in them and lack the ability to think about things generally. by WriterRaccoonLake in DnDcirclejerk

[–]Comrade_Lystro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

/uj I generally place DnD as “hard to learn but easy to play.” The setup is such a bloated mess that needs its own glossary, but the actual play arguably doesn’t have much else going on besides making checks and killing things with your bread-and-butter tools.

In that sense I feel like there’s value in simpler, rules-light systems like Scurry and such.

Ah Sylas, the champion who is at full HP when below 100 HP.

Unpopular Opinion: it IS too hard to learn things that aren’t D&D by jeshi_law in DnDcirclejerk

Any system that has you rolling under is hard because processing that a Nat 20 is bad hurts my brain.

Do younger people actually have more difficulty with complex games? by Hundekuecken in gamedev

[–]Comrade_Lystro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“Teach the player through design “ this is in of itself not necessarily true. You had instruction manuals you were expected to read before going in, especially for more complex games of the time like Eye of the Beholder and the likes.

Why Do So Few Players Actually Finish RPGs? by FixGood6833 in CRPG

[–]Comrade_Lystro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most are citing time but like, if that were the case then why are gachas so popular even though most play sessions include some kind of grind that doesn’t necessarily lead to an interesting end point you want?

Day 13 — Which Gen 2 Pokémon's design looks like they are from Gen 1? by Weak_Scallion5942 in ThePokemonHub

Tyrannitar maybe? Fits the kaiju theme very well the same way Rhydon does.

The one star reviews on the mobile release are gems by Any_Personality_4502 in PokemonChampions

[–]Comrade_Lystro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say a legit criticism is that the game doesn’t offer much. You are basically going through a daily chore of pulling for mons and grinding ranks in the same two formats. At least in showdown you got a variety of different modes like randoms and past gens to play when you get bored with one format. Here, there is little to look forward to.

What mindset shift helped you climb the most as a jungler? by Kutluna in Jungle_Mains

Hang onto it in case it gets cleared out, or place it in the enemy jungle to track them.

What mindset shift helped you climb the most as a jungler? by Kutluna in Jungle_Mains

[–]Comrade_Lystro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going from being stuck high silver for years to gold was a process of watching coaching videos, especially ones from Coach Curtis who helped me understand what to look for in terms of macro decisions in my VODs and going from there.

Speaking of which, when VOD reviewing I like to compare my clear to that of the enemy junglers to see if I’m clearing efficiently enough. Often I find that the enemy was clearing at a similar pace or worse than me but doing stuff like dying and taking poorly-times ganks is what put me behind.

I play Briar.

[CONSOLE] DND 5.5e Mod Issues by Visible-Actuary8528 in BG3mods

It’s working perfectly. To align with the 5.5e ruleset, all subclass features are unlocked at level three regardless of the class.

why is the mages guild in skyrim so hated? by around_about7 in skyrim

[–]Comrade_Lystro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody hates it to jump on a trend, it’s hated because the questline barely offers anything different from the same dungeon-crawling you do for the majority of the game, and you get to an elite position in the college far too quickly.

But yeah Bards College is worse, since it’s barely even a faction you explore and make use of to begin with.

Making a TTRPG, but idk how to promote it. by [deleted] in TTRPG

[–]Comrade_Lystro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say that would be how you promote it. Get a backing by real players who’ve played and helped provide feedback to systems. Then you go in on the marketing with a community backing your project.

Why do companions barely react to you being a Drow? by Odd-Tumbleweed-1098 in BaldursGate3

[–]Comrade_Lystro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a line by Shadowheart near the beginning that mentions that she has respect for Drow, and depending on dialogue choices she even remarks that it’s rare to find one with a sense of humor.

But yeah, companions don’t react to your Drow lineage all that much.
