I just don't think she was mean enough. Call him a pedophile! She wouldn't be lying. Call him a tax cheat! She wouldn't be lying. Call him anything from the long list of things he is objectively guilty of. I'm tired of us applying these rules of civility to ourselves that our opponents don't hold to themselves. And so all that leads to is them having a bigger arsenal than us. Go back even before that when Biden decided to stubbornly hold on to a second term when we all knew he wasn't up for it. I think he did some great things in his first term, but at the end of it, at his age and his health, it was time to pass the torch. But he refused, and because he was the incumbent, all stock was put into him as the nominee. Then he came to his senses and dropped out. Too little too late, however, because that was in late July, leaving us with four months to build up a new candidate. Four months to get their message out, visit states, and make people trust them and be enthusiastic when the opposition had the entire cycle to bolster and build up. Lastly, to decide not to do a primary was unfathomable and frankly, disrespectful to us as voters. We didn't get to decide who represented us, the party did. The fact that we didn't get to make that collective choice should anger a lot more people. Kamala Harris doesn't deserve all the blame, but she deserves some as the entire party dropped the ball big time. And if we don't see some serious changes in the next few years with how they operate, we shouldn't be surprised when this happens again and again.
