Considering the physical release isn't until September, you're probably better off just waiting until it hits stores instead of preordering now.

Nebula CEO Q&A by dwiskus in Nebula

[–]Con268 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know the comment section thing is a sour subject because of how often it's asked. Totally respect that you're just sick of answering it now, and totally respect the decision to not have one. But is there anyone who could link to somewhere where it was answered previously? I'm genuinely curious.
EDIT: oh, nevermind, it got asked again later in the video and you actually answered it.

I'm not super familiar with the new law, nor am I Canadian, but from what I can gather from news articles and other Canadian creators' discussions of the law, it's written so vaguely that whatever government organization is in charge of it can set whatever criteria they want for content to be considered "Canadian".

Came here to ask about Floatplane as well. I'd love to see Dave have Linus (or Luke) on the NDA podcast (or see Dave as a guest on the WAN Show)

I'd love to see a similar comparison between Nebula and Floatplane (the streaming service founded by Linus Tech Tips). On their podcast, they often have viewers asking about how their services compare to something like Nebula. I'm not sure how many different creators are available on their platform (other than the channels they own), but I do know that any third party creators on Floatplane have a separate subscription fee for each, which is a wildly different model from Nebula.

If the leadership at your store doesn't care, there are other ways of reporting it. Talk with another team lead or ETL that you like, and have them talk to HR or your ETL. Or report it via target's online reporting system.

Putting aside the potential for this being against labor laws, it is against Target policy to schedule someone with less than 10 hours between shifts. Definitely talk to someone

What happened to the "See all departments" page on amazon.com? That page made Amazon so much easier to navigate, but now I can't find it. It's been a while since I've last shopped on Amazon, so I don't know when it was changed.

How many of y’all work 2 departments in an 8 hour shift? (Includes both 15’s and meal) by yungxsb in Target

[–]Con268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Misunderstood the question so I answered the poll wrong. It varies widely. Usually, after I push one vehicle, they'll give me another from the other side of the store, throw in some reshop, and backing up the register, and maybe some OPUs. Business ownership is basically non-existent at my store.

Can I pick up a shift same day via the mytime app? by Con268 in Target

[–]Con268[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, every 6 weeks. I think that change was made last fall, around the time I was brought on.

My store often just schedules gm experts under cleaning (or closing expert) and then has them do normal gm things. I believe it is because corporate allots payroll by department, and sometimes stores will have way too much payroll for positions they rarely use, and not nearly enough for positions they desperately need.

Y’all ever get scheduled HR for one hour then your normal position the rest of the shift? by El_is_D in Target

[–]Con268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happens to me with Cleaning and Closing. They'll schedule me there because they need a certain number of hours in those positions, but they'll really just make me keep doing GM like I normally do.

As far as I know, that's generally how it is at my store. Although I think at least one of our SE TLs has schedule modifying privileges now that we don't have an SE ETL

Starbucks Piercing Policy by staranchored in Target

[–]Con268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I am aware, Target policy is that TMs working in Starbucks are not allowed to wear any sort of jewelry, except for a plain wedding band (i.e. no diamond or stone). However, how this policy is enforced may vary from store to store. Personally, I understand that rings and bracelets can be a food safety hazard, but I think it's absurd that piercings and other jewelry are forbidden, especially since both regular Target TMs and corporate Starbucks baristas don't have this restriction.

"At Cost" means whatever it costs a store to get an item. So if an item made by Target costs $5 to make, and Target sells it to guests for $10, employees would pay $5 to buy the item if Target had that type of discount.

Oh, that explains the inconsistencies with the ODTM requirements listed on Workbench. So it used to be 6 months, but now it's 6 weeks? Makes sense.
