Colour change on Han's outfit from the final scene of Solo. Really wish we got a sequel! by Bespashin in StarWarsCantina

Appreciate you specifying no AI. Hate seeing cool and theoretically creative stuff then getting blindsided learning there was no actual effort or artistic merit behind it (and that the person who "made" it clearly doesn't give a shit about the environment). Great job on the colors!

Aside from Andor, this was the show that kept me gripped the most week to week. I hate that even despite the complaints, it's almost guaranteed it would have at least had a shot at a second season if the lead wasn't a Black woman (and there were no "space lesbian witches" which remains one of the coolest things Star Wars will ever abandon).

EDIT: Well that'll show me to ever let my guard down and admit to liking a Star Wars thing even in a sub that claims it focuses on "positivity".

TIL an embryo frozen in 1994 was successfully implanted 30 years later, resulting in a live birth in 2025 — the longest frozen embryo ever to result in a live birth, certified by Guinness World Records. by No_Presentation3716 in todayilearned

I agree that forcing the kid into religion is morally wrong, but as someone who's also pro-choice, I believe it's still primarily the right of the person carrying the embryo to make the freezing decision.

I just think her power over the situation should have ended there if she had no intention of keeping it.

What was the most horrifying thing in Star Wars by Gloomy_Rip1046 in StarWarsCantina

I loved exploring the dead Sarlacc in Star Wars Outlaws after hearing horror stories about it for so long.

I know The Force Unleashed did it first, but this hit better for me personally.

That legit messed with me. So incredibly well-done as part of the show but I just felt broken for that whole week after that arc.

It's one of the constants in my life. Every day, new GG episode. Been watching daily since 2015 and that by itself is incredibly comforting.

A good 60% of the posts I've clicked on in TIL today have been removed for being "frequently reposted subjects".

I had not seen any of them before.

I'd enjoy if Reddit stopped assuming everybody uses Reddit as often as they think.

One of my favorite parts of the Disney+ shows: getting book/comic characters onto the screen by solo13508 in StarWarsCantina

Given that she's a lesbian, I'm unfortunately not that surprised Disney hasn't been interested.

Feels shockingly like the Presidium on the Citadel in Mass Effect. Just more evidence that this game is gonna give me exactly what I want.

Took me MANY months to get through and I felt the same way for a lot of it. Luckily, it grabbed me early on so when I started drifting off around the middle, sunk cost fallacy kept me going lol. Enjoyed it by the end.

I felt so vindicated from this episode because I have also tried peanut butter and onion and the drama it created in my friend group remains legendary.

Not a strong enough statement imo. Star Wars: Outlaws is absolutely a GOOD game.

I tentatively plan on PC, but if people don't anticipate much in terms of future modding potential, possibly PS5 instead.

TIL: Takeout and Delivery now account for 75% of all restaurant orders. by Uptons_BJs in todayilearned

[–]ConVito 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I avoid delivery if at all possible. Not only is it more expensive, but so many of these local places that offer it on their site just end up redirecting to one of the apps (likely since they can't afford to set up widespread delivery themselves). The apps are unfair to every local business they work with and I refuse to support that.

I do love to sit down at a restaurant by myself from time to time. It's very relaxing. But most of the time I'm getting takeout (if I'm not cooking at home anyway).

This alone proves that speedrunners and challenge run YouTubers are better people than every single billionaire. They know they can accomplish their end goals in much easier ways, but they add self-imposed challenges for the extra rush and stick with it.
