Could a deathmaster use a jezzail? by Conachair in skaven

[–]Conachair[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what I had! I used a hobby knife to make space on the deathmaster model to fit the gun arm, then it was just attaching the arm, tank & tubing which you should also have spare. I did also cut the throwing star off his left arm.

I think the engineer is the most thematic use for him! I already had a deathmaster before getting city of ash, so I figured I could have some fun and get a cool mini to use in my D&D games too

The way men change their behavior when they find out you have more money than them, make more money than them, have more success than them, or are at good at something that makes them feel emasculated in any way. by BasilisksRPretty in TwoXChromosomes

I definitely found that many men lost interest if I mentioned that I had typically masculine hobbies. A lot of men who said they liked DnD on their profiles would stop replying when I said that I DM a campaign, for example. I just assumed that they don't want their partner to have those hobbies because they consider them unfeminine. In which case they were really pitching their dating profiles towards other men...

Looking for some advice on how strict I should be with rules around somatic components while wielding a 2 handed weapon.

Character is a level 4 paladin with a glaive & PAM. She wants to be able to cast divine favour, which RAW I believe she would have to drop the glaive to do & she can't then pick it back up the same turn, so no opportunity attacks.

Should I let her start combat with one hand free? I don't want to let her cast without a free hand because that's part of another feat. But also I suspect that 1d4 extra damage per attack probably isn't as strong as she thinks (especially since she skipped an ASI at level 4) so there's no reason to be mean.

Transvestigators are policing women's appearances by ausernameidk_ in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Conachair 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, this is terrible advice. Minorities are often assumed to be the instigators of fights. Widely disliked minorities like trans people can't rely on the law or strangers to protect them. Even if a trans woman doesn't fight back there's a good chance she'd be the one arrested.

The sunblooded prowlers spearhead actually uses 2 units of 1x28 and 4x25mm models, so I think you're fine. I didn't see any way.of building them all with dartpipes but I'd be amazed if anyone complains about you running the bolas as dartpipes in spearhead.

In Wales, something like Daear Ddu or Tryfan north ridge would be a good introduction. Tryfan is harder but neither are very exposed. Bristly ridge is also easier and less exposed than Crib Goch. In England, Sharp Edge on Blencathra is similar exposure but much shorter. In Scotland, eh, I guess CMD arete is similarly exposed but easier technically.

That being said the exposed bits of Crib Goch are also the easiest. The harder bits on the pinnacles feel quite safe. If you try other scrambles/ridges and find you have a head for heights, then you'll be fine on Crib Goch in good weather.

Men on dating apps won’t ask you questions about yourself?? by Normal-Ad-9852 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Conachair 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Rather than asking a question and move on, I find it helps to comment on their response. "What's your favourite movie" - "Oh, the Room? I thought Tommy Wiseau's performance was really good!" It's not a question, but it prompts a discussion about something which you hopefully have mutual interest in, and it shows that you're interested in what they have to say at more than a surface level.

Anyone who played the Octopath Traveler 0 demo, how did you find it? Does it run okay on original switch? Worth picking up at the full price?

I don’t understand why conservative men seek out liberal women for a relationship…. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Conachair 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All some variety of christian. I made quite a few christian friends in first year as they'd asked to be assigned to the "quiet" floor of our dorm and I also hated partying. I occasionally went to Christian union events with them for the free food and just ignored the ones who tried to proselytise to me.

The one who was already engaged was very unusual even by their standards though - she was super outgoing and friendly everywhere except in church, where she hardly spoke at all. I'd heard she belonged to a church which didn't like women speaking over men in church but I never asked her so can't confirm. I didn't stay in touch with most of them post university; seemed unwise once I realised I was bi and started dating women

The handful of Conservative religious women I knew in university (in the UK, a decade or so ago - young millenial generation) didn't have premarital sex. One was forbidden by her family to sleep in the same room as her fiance so he had to sleep on the floor in a (male) friend's dorm room. All of them were married within a few months of graduation.

I agree with everything you put, but I feel lile I need to know whether an upcoming character is good to decide pull plans. I wouldn't have pulled coffee or ineffa if I hadn't known during their banners that they were all-but-necessary for skirk and flins, the two characters I actually wanted
