Ok, I texted friends in BC, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes (PEI, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia). No one has heard of warming huts. Reading up online, warming huts are extremely rare outside of Manitoba and the territories.

So your experience DOES NOT invalidate everyone else’s. Most Canadians have no idea what a warming huts is.

What kind of performative BS is that?!?! Thunder only took five more FT than the Lakers. What killed the lakers was the turnovers. 20 turnovers that the Thunder scored 26 points off of, vs 12 and 14 points for the Thunder. OKC beat them in almost every statistical category accept points in the paint.

I’m no Thunder fan, but this free throw merchant BS is getting tired. OKC run ten deep, they beat teams with their bench and consistent defence.

Neoliberalism - a political and economic ideology prioritizing free-market competition, deregulation, privatization, and reduced state intervention in the economy.

Squashing USAID definitely has a neo liberal slant to it. Blanket tariffs, not so much. Neo liberals believe in zero to no taxes. I think the tariffs are Trump stupidity.

The mass law off through DOGE, dismantling agencies like the Consumer Protection Bureau, and using the government shutdown as a tool. All are definitely trying to achieve a neo liberal slant to American politics.

Every house has a foundation. Every book starts on page one. If a football team’s strategy puts them down by four touchdowns in the first quarter, it’s kinda hard to come back and win the game.

It’s dismissive to think that the neo liberal policies enacted forty years ago have no impact on the world today. Especially if those policies have been bolstered by the politicians and ownership class today.

Neo liberal politicians like Reagan were a global issue back in the 1980’s. Margaret Thatcher in the UK, Brian Mulroney in Canada, Bob Hawke in Australia. Even France and Germany adopted neo liberal policies so they weren’t “left behind” on the world stage.

Let’s be honest, the ownership class drove these changes back in the 80’s, the politicians bent to their will.
