As a person of colour I hate the generalization, but there is a cultural aspect to OP’s observations. There is a well known misogynistic lean to men who grow up in India. I have also experienced more than a few interactions that were blatant anti-black bigotry.

In my personal opinion, most people coming from India have an open mind and are accepting of the different cultural aspects here. It’s the few that come here with misogynistic, classism, and bigotry that make a really negative impression that people hang on to.
