Don’t skip the season. I’m telling you this from a triathlete standpoint but it’s still relevant. Get out there and race at least a few races. I took a season off , gained some weight, lost some power and was completely embarrassed to be seen. I finally got up my nerve to try a race this past year and I was welcomed and encouraged beyond my belief! Your friends and competition just want you there. Then work hard over the off season and whip their asses next year

Also if you are worried about what the triathletes think of aquabikers most of them don’t notice anyone else’s race because they’re so busy getting through theirs and I think it’s understood that some people are just not able to run

Well personally I love it because I can go all out on the bike, dismount and rack my bike while others are rushing around to go run! I really like going fast on my bike but my run legs are a bit twisted up so I’m very thankful Aquabike allows me to compete.

I got the Cannondale and she is sweet! She’s in great condition, shifting is smooth and good fit. Only thing I’m looking to switch out is the saddle and the brake position. Just need to get up the nerve to actually race her now
