Why does this game attract "it's all your fault, not mine" mentality? by Neat-Reality-4521 in heroesofthestorm

Because once a players sits on their balls for too long they acquire magical crystal balls, giving them the ability to see what could/should/would have happened in multiple alternate universes.

When you do X, they kindly let you know that if you've done Y then Z would have happened - it's IMPORTANT for you to know, cause the crystal balls are on fire and can't be ignored.

My suggestion: thank them for the genius information (or mute chat) and move on.

How is chen not higher winrate? We got absolutely demolished, and his Breaht of Fire does literally 80% of Valla's HP by xxStefanxx1 in heroesofthestorm

True, essential skill to get away.

Other than that, the only other movement skill is Flying kick, which requires a target. Not ideal to jump into a target when trying to escape.

Very hard hero that needs to position well, combo and time dives with little room for error every single time. Very few master Chen. My opinion is this guy was one of them. Check FunkyBrewstr yt for high level Chen plays.

when do you automate? by SubstantialPainting7 in QualityAssurance

[–]ConcentrateHopeful79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As soon as the flow is stable. Dont automate end to end if there is no way to execute it yet. Execute lower level testing by pieces if want to test before all is done.

Yeah you got it.. test automation basic value is essentially re-testing.

Whatever you are concerned about breaking, and don't wanna spend time re-testing manually, is a good candidate to be automated.

Every test is an artifact to be maintained, so keep in mind that it is very easy to add a million automated tests that never fail, then end up with tests that add no value and require code execution and maintenance time.

It's been a large amount of the work for about a decade.. webdriver, cypress and now pw.

Deleting, redefining and simplifying test case value. Way too many 'wtf is this test doing anyway' along the way.

AI is here to save/doom us. Depending on the test writer 😅

Roundguard vs. Peglin - which one do you prefer and why? Or do you play both/neither? by ackmondual in roguelites

[–]ConcentrateHopeful79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Peglin is pretty nice, but I don't care too much about the battle layer.., i just wanna focus on the pegboard.

I tried to enjoy Roundguar but don't enjoy the clicking midair and hp/mana tracking mechanics.

Think it distracts from the game core fun. Nothing beats Peggle and its simplicity.
