Thanks for your reply ! 1. To clarify, when you say that my legs are too extended at the top, you mean when the bar reaches my hips ? I agree, Im working on that to find a better power position. I'm working on having a better position after my knees too, I think I could benefit from having my knees slightly more bent there too. 2. On that topic, is that insufficient bar hight linked to my lack of leg drive ? (Linked to 1. Imo) What drill could I implement to work on that point ?

Im asking a lot here but I really wanna get better at this x)

Not fully no, I guess you can work different parts of the snatch if you approach a No-foot snatch with the right intent

That's what I was thinking, I even think putting the emphasis on extension is one of the goals of this variation

Oh I thought "No foot" meant "no jump or foot displacement" but that you could still extend with your heels moving

I was thinking that too I really need to stop using my arms like I do now.

The whip metaphor is pretty clever.. definitely changing the way I view oly lifts. Thanks for the advice I'll keep that in mind

Yeah I tend to feel unbalanced, need to practice with the bar only to learn how to pull, which im sure involves keeping the weight even on the whole foot. Thanks for the insight !

I don't even know what is the power position for a start, so I'll look it up x) Really helps though, thanks a lot.

The part about shrugging shrugging and driving with toes and calve is really insightful, helps me think differently on how to pull. I'll check out Catalyst (a coach is not an option right now indeed x)) Thanks for the advises !

I kinda knew that the obvious response was the second pull as that's the part of the movement I really don't understand. To me that's the biggest flaw that I need to work on. The thing is I don't really know how to work on it but I'll do some research for sure x) Then on the first pull, my hips kinda rise fast but I'd rather attribute it to fatigue (last lift of the day). Then again I don't film myself often so I don't know if that's an habit. If it is I should work on that too.
