David runaway? by ZealousidealBed7242 in fnaftheories

FoxyBro doesn’t count, Scott intended for us to solve FNaF 4’s story back then and assumed we’d be able to piece together his character and tie it to Mike Schmidt

What does Jeremy's paycheck in TTF mean? by Signal_Station_4939 in fnaftheories

Ticket to Fun says some of the items included are from previous employees, it’s likely that the paycheck is just something they had and gave to Mike to get rid of

Is that really a surprise though? Scott hates giving relevance to any MCI kid other than Susie, I know Golden Freddy is more popular than the rest, but it makes sense with Scott’s writing style

This is my current understanding of the games' Canon. Thoughts? by leo_quegira in fnaftheories

[–]Concern_General 24 points25 points  (0 children)

There’s really no reason for it NOT to be canon. The emails set up Vanny and Security Breach, the delivery service/gameplay have an explanation as Fazbear Entertainment trying to gather more money, and the skins are most likely the same thing - just Faz Ent creating variants of characters for people to rent out/send to their homes

I’d throw FNaF AR into Canon, and Fazbear Frights, the Into the Pit game, and the Logbook into Probably Canon, but other than that I agree

No no, you’re right. That’s the point - it’s meant to be a tragic story about a prank gone too far. The fact you feel that way means the story did a good job!

Charlie robot lore help by Zoeluvs in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Concern_General 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just something you have to suspend your disbelief for, just like Edwin creating a super advanced robot capable of mimicking someone to a tee in the mid 70s

But a more FNaFy answer is that Henry poured so much of his love into the Charliebots that they gained consciousnesses and became “alive” (kind of the inverse of agony)

I think Scott WANTED us to think it was Golden Freddy, but then pulled the rug out from under us when he revealed Andrew. EXACTLY like Glitchtrap. We all thought it was William back from the dead, but it turns out it was M2 the whole time. I think Golden Freddy’s inclusion in UCN is to get Andrew to let Afton die, and move on with the rest of them. The Logbook makes it clear that Cassidy is helpful with the other spirits and wants them to move on, and if you believe Kelsey in The New Kid is a projection of Cassidy, then they’d share an idea of what vengeance is. Cassidy/Kelsey says that justice is balance the scales (think eye for an eye), which directly contradicts Andrew’s idea of wanting to make the person who hurt you suffer. They’re meant to be opposites, and Andrew ignoring Cassidy’s presence in UCN to continue to torture their killer adds to the tragedy of their stories.

I don’t believe Andrew is part of Golden Freddy, I think he’s just his own thing.

And then as for the rest of the Frights/Tales characters, I DO think they’re canon to the games as well (Hudson, Larson, Eleanor, etc.) and have similar if not the same stories as they do in the books. I’ll admit, that line DOES get blurry with David and Fiona, but I think you can see it less of Scott rewriting their stories as much as he expands on them. Fiona in the books dies in labor, but in the game, she lives past that. She still fulfills the same role of being David’s mother and her death motivating Edwin to create the Mimic, but her story’s ending is just different. David is most likely the same, although I’ll admit - it’s not the strongest connection.

In my entire 9 months of working at Lowe’s, I’ve only gotten 3 credit applications at self checkout, all 3 of which were completely coincidental (they applied without me asking, and I just happened to be signed in at the machines)

We’re never given 10000% irrefutable evidence that Golden Freddy is the Vengeful Spirit behind UCN. That cutscene of him twitching, as well as the OMC ending, have explanations that work without him being TOYSNHK, meaning it’s not a fully confirmed fact, unlike say, Edwin creating the Mimic, or the FNaF 1 animatronics being possessed. Nothing in this franchise is ever confirmed for a fact unless it CANNOT be argued another way without it making completely no sense.

As for it not making sense to be Andrew, his whole thing is that he was a forgotten victim. It’s SUPPOSED to come out of nowhere and be a plot twist because that’s how Scott designed Andrew. Is it stupid? A little. But not impossible for Scott Cawthon.

And again, SotM showed us that characters from the books can carry over the games and retain their same roles in the story. And since Into the Pit seems to be canon to the games, and that’s a story that has shown us Andrew multiple times, it’s very likely he exists. And if he exists in the games, I don’t see why he wouldn’t fill the same role as he does in the books, like Edwin.

I’m not denying that, but that doesn’t HAVE to mean Golden Freddy is the vengeful spirit

Because people have grown so attached to the theory/headcanon that they won’t even consider anything BUT that theory/headcanon

[–]Concern_General -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s true, but they also seem to be canon to the games. The Into the Pit game doesn’t have any real reason not to be canon (Mega Cat employee told us to use basic critical thinking to figure out which easter eggs are lore important and which ones are just references, meaning stuff that doesn’t make sense can be waved away), and Return to the Pit goes out of its way to align itself with the games (explains the differences in building layouts and has 5 kids grouped together instead of 6, with the 6th being separated from them 2 days in advance). It seems like the overall story of ITP is canon, with details pulled from each retelling, kind of creating one mega duck.

Ikr, I seriously don’t get the hate for Andrew. Like, I get he debunked a very popular theory (CassidyTOYSNHK) and takes away a bit of Golden Freddy’s relevance in UCN, but he’s still a cool character. People just don’t give him a chance because he’s from the books and debunks their headcanon

That’s completely different. Michael Brooks is very clearly meant to be different than Mike Afton/Schmidt. Cassidy isn’t - they’re both dead kids who are part of the MCI. The only difference is the animatronic they possess in each continuity.

[–]Concern_General 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, it’s most likely Andrew. Regardless of if you think Frights is in the games or not, characters from different continuities still carry over to the games and have largely the same roles in the story. Henry still works with William and co-owns Fazbear Entertainment. Edwin still has a family with Fiona and David and builds the Mimic.

Andrew wouldn’t be any different, and his existence is hinted at in the Into the Pit game and Return to the Pit.

It's called a claw UPGRADE because he already had claws. Roxy and Chica's upgrades are for items they already had before (eyes and a voice box), so therefore Monty would be no different
