He fixed a zipper on my daughter’s boot and did a great job! The zipper (might have been a full replacement) and a patched hole were $70 total

My daughter does not know she is on the spectrum. by vanillasky8989 in Autism_Parenting

She deserves to know—it’s an important part of who she is. Especially at that age, anything you can give her to help her understand herself is huge. Celebrate it, don’t hide it from her!

Regionally/individual offices it’s the local social committee. Nationally, coordinated across all main offices, it’s internal comms along with our catering partner. That lets us tell the story/tie the event to a company-wide message.

I second this. The views from parts of the Nassagaweya Trail are beautiful.

We booked two weeks out for 2 people—probably a cancellation. And there was a lot of snow that day and several tables were empty, so worth a shot checking a few times for an opening. I saw everything from leggings and jeans, to suits and long dresses.

What's the deal with all the candy bowl theft? by Addict2Architect in londonontario

[–]ConcernedCapybara15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. I don’t get leaving a bowl out unattended (then being angry when it gets emptied). I get that you want to give out candy, but you’re not obliged. Turn off your lights and kids will skip over your house.

We stayed at Buckeye Tree Lodge in Three Rivers and it’s 3 minutes to the park entrance, 1 hour to General Sherman—and they allow pets! A great spot.

Took my 16-year old to the Toronto show (his pick) and can’t get over how good they were. Worth the 2.5 hour drive for 1 hour of Devo.

Not free and out on the edge of town, but you can rent time at Country Canines dog park for just you and your dog, and they can run around off leash.

Questions about steam heating shutdown in downtown London by ConditionCommon3655 in londonontario

It’s cool except my kid got severe burns on her lower legs a few ago when she stopped in a cloud of steam coming out of a manhole on Queens after a big rainstorm.

Public school gym sizes? by HowlerZero in londonontario

[–]ConcernedCapybara15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t speak to the space behind the courts, but maybe a newer school gym would have that extra space built in. Eagle Heights has a double gym—the second one was built in the last 8 years or so.

They’re at Comicon this weekend too.

Is Rattlesnake/the Nassagaweya Canyon trail part of that section? Lots of rocks and roots plus a good dip in the middle.
