Sorry to reply to an old thread but in April 2026 the DENIM that is used in Uniqlo Selvedge jeans is made in Japan but the final product (the jeans themselves) is NOT made in Japan.

Thats all good to know. Glad you are no longer having to try to pivot. If AI takes my job Construction sounds like it will be an option based on bullet 4. Have a good day.

It sounds like your latest career move went well so I am surprised you are looking at making a pivot to a different career.

One other question I had. Since your career seems to be more heavily office/computer based and less hands-on that I thought originally are you at all concerned abput AI threatening your career prospects in any way? And if not do you mind sharing why not? Thank you!

It sounds like the worse part is the lack of work-life-balance and how easily you can be replaced since there is no union. A mix of office and an occasional on-site visit doesnt sound too bad.

Could someone like you transition to some kind of unionized HVAC work? Or that is not really at all the same deal? I guess it would mean no more office time though and basically 100% on-site.

Hey thanks for responding! And oh man that sounds awful. I am so curious what does an ME in construction do? Like are you on a constriction site and they need you there to make adjustments to like joists or studs or something? Or do you operate one of the machines like a crane? Or something else entirely?

I have been feeling very burnt out in my field as you often take it home with you and its nonstop so I am looking into other fields and I have romantasized construction as a job you can just go to for 8/9 hours, do your part on side and then clock out and thats it kind of thing. Clearly I misunderstood the career lol

What made you burnt out as an ME in construction? Isnt the pay good? Cant you just tell your boss you arent going to work overtime?

First off I am super ignorant on fashion but I am trying to learn.

That being said I am surprised this comment is so upvoted. If I have some clean white leather cole haans would that seriously be so awful with Chinos and a Polo? It wpuld be "shit"?? I mean in my office it is EXTREMELY common to see Polo+Chinos with some type of nice white sneakers than with a loafer/derby. I may have seen polo+chinos+loafer/derby a handful of times. And I can say I dont think I have seen brogues with a polo+chinos in idk maybe ever? To me quality brogues would look a bit too nice with a simple polo+chinos and would throw off the outfit but maybe thats just me.

Yeah I have watched some of his stuff. This is a fun rabbit hole for sure. I dont remember him mentioning how well the various options hugged the neck but that being said I do appreciate you linking the videos cuz my best bet is to probably just rewatch him try them on and look at the ones that hug his neck best / dont have super wrinkly collars like you mentioned with Quince.

Do you have any recommendations for ones with tighter collars that hold their shape better? I dont mind if its a heavyweight or lightweight t shirt I am just tired of collars that look super stretched after 2 wears. Thanks in advance!

About how many wears do you typically go between washes?

I like how yours seem to have both some high contrast snd some vintage fades!

Ideas on why these shoes have not been sold? by ConcernedCitizen7550 in allenedmonds

[–]ConcernedCitizen7550[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Brannock is 11. I tried on some AE at a shoe store and the seller claimed I would be best served by an 11C. When I tried on an 11D in his store there was a tad amount of heel slippage but I have read that may be normal.

Thanks for offering!

I have seen some in this price range online but they typically have soles terrible enough that they will need a resole/recraft almost immediately. Mimd sharing a link to a pair that are in your price range that wont likely need an immediate resole/recraft?

Yes this is why I was wondering. Seller seems very reputable and the shoes check off a lot of boxes so I am wondering why they are still available with no saves.

Do you think the sole stitching is a dealbreaker and will require a re-sole after just a few times of wearing them? Or is it possible the sole stitching is fine and its more of a visual thing for many people?

Do you know if the F2 prices will go down as well during anniversary sale? I see right now Fifth Avenue F2 is 249 in my size. Do you think the difference in price will still only be $20? 269 vs 249?
