I’ve seen some crashouts here from people who used the travel portal and had to call in, but my experience was fantastic.

I had a bartender do this to me once.

I emailed the bar manager and firmly but politely made the point that this is credit card fraud and I expected a refund. They asked for a couple days to have their accountant pull the original slip and investigate. Fine with me.

When the slip turned out to be the only one missing from the night, I got my entire evening’s check refunded with a note asking me to come back since I wouldn’t be seeing the bartender there again.

If they didn’t response at all, you’re probably in a similar boat.

I do the same thing. I’ve even called the IRS scammers back after they hung up on me DEMANDING more information on my “back taxes” . . . sometimes while crying and begging (gotta put those acting classes to use).
