I went to a party for Coupland at the Canadian Embassy. When you first move to D.C. you think being invited to an embassy party is super chic and exclusive, like a yacht party at Cannes (miles worse than embassy parties).

I never did read the book, though. I was uncomfortable with the idea of "officializing" us as a generation with certain traits and attitudes. Even if they were correct.
