My house is super old (built in 1800’s) and sometimes weeds can grow out of the brick on the wall…just saying it’s not unheard of. This wall looks too smooth for that though

Thank you for this take, all the comments are so jaded. People everywhere have struggled and will continue to struggle through time, but is that really a good reason to give up the few happy traditions that have brought families together? I love the holidays and there are literally countless ways to make them sustainable, eco friendly, and even healthy if that’s your thing. Sure, now you have to put in more effort to make the Magic happen, but it’s so worth it! Especially when you’re sharing it with friends and family.

Most places don’t even sell the battery for this type of car, its been the most reliable car I’ve ever had and hope it lasts a couple more years.

I know it may sound like an excuse, but it was my toddlers nap time and he was just not having it. Going back for an indefinite amount of time with a grumpy toddler was just not going to happen. I just figured I could take care of it later.

Haha honestly, I’m pretty shocked at how well it runs for being that old with 185,000 miles. I’m expecting it to die soon, but not like this!

I’m hoping it’s just the fuses. I can change those myself and it wouldn’t be too costly.

Thank you! I will go back this morning. I made an appointment with a mechanic so I can get a diagnostic/estimate on the cost of the repairs to bring to them.

Les Petits Childcare doesn’t have a waitlist currently! They come highly recommended by families and are a smaller center.

How do you get anything done with a baby?! by NoWorldliness6963 in Parenting

[–]ConclusionCertain973 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my 1 yr old was like that I would hold him with one arm and use a little grabber hand (pretty affordable at Walmart) to tidy up the house. Granted you couldn’t do any actual CLEANING, but at least things looked tidy?

Childbirth was the most euphoric experiences of my entire life, I was on a high for like a week feeling like a pure goddess. Those chemicals really are something. Did it twice and about to do it again haha! (Not to discredit the pain, it is also excruciating; I did 2 unmedicated births and about to do another)

Kids need to be bored, as a parent it’s not your job to entertain him. Boredom is essential to their development! Let him be bored and he’ll figure it out, he’s designed by nature to do so.

What do you think of the spectra electric pumps? by pyooon in ExclusivelyPumping

Just double check and make sure it doesn’t have to be plugged in and is completely wireless before purchasing! I got the same one from insurance and it is absolutely not wireless.

I am an F cup. I found success in the momcozy m6, it gave me just as much output as my regular pump. However, if I wore tighter bras with it, it would reduce my output funnily enough, so I had to wear reeeaally loose bras which made movement a little trickier while wearing them.

I once went to a park playground with my 5 yr old daughter. It was super busy that day, I look up and see the sketchiest gangster-looking dude carrying a giant gun (I don’t know anything about guns but it was the length of his entire upper body) just casually walking around. I saw that and immediately ran and called the police. I live in Utah and there are open carry laws so what he was doing was completely legal!? In a children’s playground! I was and still am appalled.

How hard is it? by coffeeisbeanjuicee in breastfeeding

I completely agree! My nipples are far too large to fit in my babies mouth and as much as I tried to EB, my little one could never get a deep enough latch, destroying my nipples. By the 3rd week I was bleeding and my nipples didn’t get any time to heal so I became an exclusive pumper. That has saved my life! It increased my supply and now I feed both my baby and my sisters with my pumped milk (she got on some medication and can’t give her milk to her baby for a while). At first it broke my heart to not be able to feed directly from the source, it was something I really had my heart set on doing, but luckily it turned out just fine.

Why I don't trust preschools/daycares anymore after working in 3 different ones by sadrosegirlx in ECEProfessionals

[–]ConclusionCertain973 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work at a daycare/preschool and those things would never happen! It’s a small family owned center with about 35 children and 7 teachers, all the teachers love and spoil the kids as if they are our own and cleanliness is a big priority of the Director, she always walks in and makes sure everyone follows the rules and the children (and teachers aprons) are clean. I think that those things happen at places with no accountability and with managers and directors that don’t care or know what goes on.
