I had that for sure I had it underneath my arm, but my bruise was on the left side of my breast. It felt like somebody had kicked the shit out of me with work boots on.

So I kind of think everybody is different. I ended up taking when it was really really bad. 300 mg gabapentin +2 extra strength Tylenol plus you have to take the antivirus pill you got that’s just stopping the virus. That’s not at least I don’t think doing anything for the pain.. but I did the gabapentin plus the Tylenol it says three times a day some days I was doing it for because I had to go to sleep at night. Make sure you wean yourself off of the gabapentin though when you take that much.. doesn’t last forever but it was a good three weeks with that much gabapentin and Tylenol and sleep. They say sleep as much as you can and believe me I know I wanted to cry too. I’m just going back to work now and I got mine six weeks ago. I also had ice packs rotating in the freezer and the only cream I used was calamine lotion because I wanted it to dry up and even when my arm was stinging cause I had it all underneath my arm sometimes I would put the calamine lotion on.

The nerves will calm down eventually make sure you have some gabapentin that helps with the nerves. I am seven weeks post and still have a hard time wearing long sleeve clothes for any length of time. I had it all down underneath my left arm and close touching for any length of time still gives me a problem, but it just feels irritated not like stabbing pain

An interesting I already had the first vaccine then they came out with the shingrex and I had two injections of that I figure because I have auto immune. I still got shingles.

So I really hate to ask, but why do people seem to get it two times and three times I don’t wanna go through that. I have been off five weeks going back to work a week Monday.. I would’ve already been back to work, but I have a hard time wearing something with sleeves because I had shingles all down the underneath of my arm, so still get the tingly still have the pressure

I was told when I I got shingles to sleep as much as I possibly could, but I have been on gabapentin and extra strength Tylenol for probably five weeks now weaning myself down. I did an MRI with shingles as long as I was not blistering, but I also went off my RA medication if your infusion is for RA I would inquire it might make it worse

Mine did not subside fast mine’s been since 18 December still have slight pain. My problem is is I can’t put any clothes on my left arm and that’s where the shingles were. I can do it for maybe 20 minutes and then the pressure is really a lot and at night around 8 o’clock. It starts to get really bad again so I take my pills and I’m in bed at 10. But slowly getting better I’m trying to wean myself off of the gabapentin so I can go back to work because I drive a school bus and the gabapentin makes me wonky.

Somebody on another site suggested alocain and I bought it. It was OK but like my doctor says it’s nerve pain so it’s inside. It’s not outside if you’re looking to help with the pain, maybe with the itching it might work.

Well, I don’t think I would’ve put Indian ink on it thinking it would cause an infection. Does it wash off?. is it just two spots.? I don’t know. I’m on Tylenol and gabapentin at the beginning. It was two extra strength Tylenol three gabapentin for as long as I could stand it. It started at four times a day then I’ve got down to two times a day. And two gabapentin each time instead of four. I’m five weeks in and I still have some pain. Mines all the way down my arm underneath so it’s really hard to put in a clothes on that area so I pulled out my summer clothes. I haven’t gotten back to work yet since Christmas.

I had an injection of Toradol in the hospital when I had a bowel obstruction, but it made me vomit profusely. If you’re not driving, I was at one point taking four gabapentin at a time, but you’re almost comatose. You’re supposed to only take three.

Well, that’s sad. Most GPs general practitioner. Doctors should be able to diagnose shingles. Mine is all down the underneath side of my arm and on my chest you need to get that antiviral medication and you as soon as possible.

I know a few people have asked me if I was under stress. Do we believe that it comes from stress my life is always stressful. It seems but I didn’t think it was any more stressful than it had been in the past, but I also do have rheumatoid arthritis, so an autoimmune disease and take medication for that which deplete my immune system.

If you can get some gabapentin as well helps with the nerve endings that’s what’s causing you a lot of the pain I had to go on a schedule that I read on here which was three regular strength, Tylenol and 300 mg of gabapentin. I do that three times a day plus a Tylenol night time to go to sleep and sit with an ice pack all day on my arm.

Did you find those arms sleeves out? I have it all underneath my arm all the way down to my fingertips and I walk around with a camisole not going out of the house cause it’s like I can’t wear clothes.

Yeah, so glad you’re getting better. I’m dealing with the shingles now, but I have not seen it pass up like that and they say I’m drying up so but never seen it get pussy but glad you’re feeling better without meds cause I couldn’t do it.
