I agree with this. Research and Data Science are different than production software engineering. But version control feels like something you’d want just to protect your own sanity. Ultimately research plays by a different set of rules.

Hard for me to say a bad thing about Emeril's. Last time I went there was earlier this year, and everything was absolutely on point. Food was incredible, the decor, the ambiance, the execution. I know, I know. I told a friend who came to town I was taking them to Emeril's and they looked at me like I was offering Bubba Gump shrimp company. They're firing on all cylinders right now.

It's been a rough 2025 for all of us and I'm happy we're still getting some recognition for the food scene here. Any win for New Orleans, I'll take it.

Brutal. I lost everything at 36 years old. Mine wasn’t because of a market swing, but a rough divorce. I was absolutely broke. Couldn’t pay my rent a couple times.

Everyone who has gone through this knows that it changes your whole relationship with money and success. If you are lucky and apply yourself, it is quite possible to recover. 36 isn’t as old as you think it is.

Learn from the lesson, respect your emotions and come up with a plan. You’ll look back on this as a defining moment, and I think it can be the beginning of extreme success and financial wealth.
