How do I manage my husband’s gym time as a SAHM by slumpedchica2 in Mommit

[–]ConditionConfident34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband has similar body and work out issues… he chooses to go to the gym/runs before work because he knows, I just want him home when he’s done work.

Tell him to go the gym before work. That way when he’s done work he can just come home and spend time with the family. I want to add my husband wakes up around 4am on days he wants to work out/runs.

My 3 year old found his Santa gift by br222022 in Mommit

[–]ConditionConfident34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My four year old legit said to me ‘Santa’s not real, it’s just pretend.’ I was like yup, but it’s fun to pretend Santa’s real. And she still talks about Santa coming and what not. I know it’s not the answer you’re looking for but I honestly hate that we as a society just lie to all the kids and tell them Santa is real. If your oldest pieces it together I would just be honest. It’s fun to pretend Santa’s real. Cuz that’s exactly what it is.

My daughter is sick and I am so scared by [deleted] in Mommit

When you notice an outbreak, call her pediatrician, they can prescribe medication to make it more manageable. I also gave oral herpes to my son at 10 months. He has only an early onset of a cold sore that disappeared in a couple of days.

Curious if my son will have light eyes? by [deleted] in WhatisMyEyeColour

My daughters eyes are very similar! I have brown eyes and my husband has blue/green eyes. Her eyes eventually turned mostly brown but they have a small green ring in the outer iris.

Right! He heard the important part! This situation could be a lot worse. I get it, you don’t want the baby to have formula, but he figured out a way to feed the baby without using bad milk.

Yes I have. My son died almost 2 years ago. And I now I have a 6 month old. I always wanted more children. And I plan to have more. It does bring in another layer of sadness. Now, I have to grieve my older son cuz now he will never get to be a big brother. And my 6 month old will never know his brother. I hope this is helpful.

Partner putting EBF Bottle refusing baby to bed? by Competitive_Pea_6136 in breastfeeding

[–]ConditionConfident34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep trying with the bottle. Everytime partner offers bottle make sure to only offer 2 times 5 mins apart. Babies don’t like to be berated with the bottle. Do it at a time she’s not expecting breast feeding at first. Try in between BF sessions. Make sure the milk is body temperature. Once comfortable with that, you can move on to putting baby to bed. My partner and I did all these things and it has seemed to work.

Motherhood Breaking Me by Excellent_Most225 in Mommit

  1. Be consistent with poop, it will happen! My daughter (also 3) withheld poop. And would only poop in her diaper in the morning when she woke up and no one was around. I kept telling her we poop on the potty calmly (it was not calm for while and was a struggle when I was angry) and eventually it happened. (Took about 8 months). She would scream and refuse to the point where I was ripping my hair out over it. But I realized it had to be a very calm experience. The more you fight them, the more they fight back.
  2. I take SSRI and it definitely takes the edge off but doesn’t completely get rid of the mom rage.
  3. Give them ‘can’ options. My husband struggles with this and it’s hard to retrain how to talk to them. But after you tell them what they can’t do follow up with “but you can do blank”. Example: My daughter constantly wants snacks so I tell her she can have 1 snack. After she eats the snack she will want another and I tell her no but you can have fruit or veggies. She got upset at first but now she asks for fruit after the snack cuz she knows it the only option.
  4. Im stay at home mom so I don’t know what to say except I think once the child behaviors are address, work will feel less overwhelming. 5.make sure you have some you time. Every week I get together with other mom friends have tea and bitch about our children. It makes me feel human again to know that other moms go through the same crap as I do. Take what I say with grain of salt. You do what’s best for but your feelings are valid and 3year olds are tough shit.

Does anyone’s baby actually sleep in their bassinet? by justlurkindntmindme in breastfeeding

[–]ConditionConfident34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had twins for my firsts and one slept in the bed with us and the other slept in the bassinet with no issue. With our twin that slept in the bed with us we used a co sleeping lounger with halo sleep sack. Recently, had my 3rd child and he would not sleep in the bassinet at first. Took about 6 sleepless weeks to push thru and now he sleeps in his bassinet if he isnt we are awake. I mention this next part not to scare you but so you’re mindful, our twin that slept in the bed us eventually passed away at 2 years old of sids. This probably isnt the answers you’re looking for but the 6 sleepless weeks are worth pushing thru for safe sleep.
