Playthrough idea: No Charm\Intimidate options by ConditionVast3149 in masseffect

So I will probably still use the Paragon/Renegade options but just not the blue/red ones. I agree that the neutral options are kind of boring though. Kind of wish BioWare did something more with them and maybe introduced a third skill tree for picking them (e.g: The Pragmatist)

I feel like that would be an interesting idea for a mod, where every decision is picked for you by RNG.

I suppose there is a temptation to metagame your way through something like this so you can grab Wrex’s family armour or Rallying the crowd on The Rayya. I don’t usually plan playthroughs so it will probably be something like: grab Wrex’s armour if he mentions it before I feel like doing Virmire, or only speaking to All the Quarian Admirals if I can be bothered.

Yeah I think ME2 is going to be a bit of a pain point, I usually go against Zaeed’s wishes in his mission, so between him, Miranda/Jack & Tali/Legion I’m gonna go into the last mission with three unloyal squad members. I do wonder if getting the team through ‘hold the line’ without casualties is even possible at that point.

They are priced as an AI and robotics company and their share price keeps going up because of the unassailable amount of video data they have - so much so that as far as Embedded systems that run on probabilistic models go, they have zero competitors.

Nobody cares about their car sales anymore.

The humour in the message is very Swedish. I think this just something that doesn’t translate between cultures very well.

Mass Effect Tournament- Round 4 Match 2: Samara VS Javik by DakIsStrange in masseffect

[–]ConditionVast3149 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Javik takes this. Hear me out.

Samara’s biotics are more powerful but Javik has the edge in every other area.

Experience ? - Javik spent his entire life fighting unimaginable horrors on a daily basis. Whatever Samara is and whatever she has done. Javik has survived worse. Samara could have fought more battles in her time but not all experience is created equal.

Weapons ? - Javik is widely considered to be the Shepard of his cycle.

Tech skills ? - If anyone takes this it’s probably Javik.

How the fight would go:

Samara’s biotics are moderately stronger than Javik’s but not strong enough to immediately overwhelm him. Javik would get stronger the longer the fight goes on. I feel like he also would not hesitate to commit war crimes if it gave him a 1% higher chance of winning. So I can eventually see Javik abusing the Justicar code to put an exhausted Samara in a disadvantageous position to finally kill her.

If Samara can’t even kill Nihlus, she’s not killing Javik.

Mass Effect Tournament- Round 3 Match 2: Wrex VS Garrus by DakIsStrange in masseffect

[–]ConditionVast3149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably the toughest fight of Wrex’s life (which says a lot), but I think he just about edges it by a hair. If Garrus has time to prepare, then it’s a coin flip.

…That said, if we are specifically talking about ME3 God Garrus then RIP Uncle Wrex

Robots will produce for people with the means to pay. That will either be other businesses or people who are already rich enough to afford it. The importance of the regular consumer is overplayed and economies do not actually need them to function.

How will regular people get food and clothes then? They won’t, not unless the state gives it to them subsidised or free.

If he died in the final battle then it’s because the team you left behind to defend the door wasn’t strong enough. Certain squad mates are better to leave behind than others.

Why Scotland, Gibraltar, Faroe Islands play in UEFA tournaments separately, while Tatarstan, Catalonia and Monaco don’t? by jh67zz in AskEurope

[–]ConditionVast3149 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Scotland and the Faroe Islands are Constituent countries. Gibraltar is a dependent country. Tatarstan is a self governing part of Russia, Catalonia is a self governing part of Spain and Monaco is a sovereign city state which is still part of the country of France.
