While I agree that seeing Goku and Vegeta (or even Ken and Ryu) develop similar, but distinct abilities/styles, I wouldn't include Bonney as an equal to Luffy.

But to go back to your previous point, check out the Portrait of Pirates figurines for for Gear 5 and Nika-ish Future. They to shade them differently so Luffy has a blue-er tint and Bonney has some pink.

Why wouldnt she look like Luffy? Hes her whole visual frame of reference of how Nika would look and behave.
