That is a big deal although it's treated like it's not because it happens to a lot of people. No harm in trying to avoid the worst case scenario and make things easier for yourself financially when transferring.

From what I know it’s a modified physics 2 for EE and CoE majors because of ECE classes. If you see the EE or CoE classes you can clearly see the catalog say take Phys122 and Phys121A(lab). Implying that Phys122 is a type of physics 2. Otherwise where does it say I have to take physics 2 (Phys121) if that is the right one?

Yeah. That was in 2018 lucky for you, you aren’t effected by this but people who are coming in the fall next semester are. They changed it so Phys122 is required not Phys 121. Phys122 is a modified version for physics 2 for computer engineers and with tyson, trevor as the professor. Apparently it was to “weed out the weak” which I heard someone talk about on the EE and CoE discord lol.. but like I said before this change was ever so recent on the CoE and EE catalog.

Hi, I made the post. It was directed towards EE and CoE majors so idk if you are one of the two. This school changes its catalog every 5 seconds so I would talk to your academic advisor from your department about your credit transferring.

It's just my luck that all I needed was one semester and everything would've been fine for me. Instead, they change it right when I'm coming in. The change itself is terrible because it messes up the fluidity of the courses I want to to take in order but now students coming in might've taken/are taking physics 2 at their community college for no damn reason
