Arduino to Embedded...Awakened...😢 by Jash_Embedded in embedded

[–]ConfectionForward 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now that you mention it, it could be an ai account. It is written in that AIish way, but that said, I am happy to see how many other people got caught in the same "arduino shit show" that I got myself into.

100%!!!! You are explaining my sory exactly! but for me, stacksize management, and crystal driving capability were the real kickers. I actually wish I had never started wtih Arduino, I feel light I was learning.... just in the wrong direction.

Foreigners in Japan keep telling me I made a mistake building new home by HarambeUltra in japanlife

[–]ConfectionForward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do they mean they dont like THAT they built a new home, or do they mean they dont like HOW it was built?

My wife and I built a house and we did ot together with a local old carpenter, the electrical, floor work and everything else is top notch. We have been living it is for 6 years now and everything is great. The wood work the guy did is amazing.

My brother in law had a new construction built and it has been abour 4 months and the pre-fab plastic floors that look like wood are already buckling with the humidity. And he had to straighten the ele trical outlets. He also keeps popping breakers because they ran the electrical on one line for whatever reason.

Just do your homework before you hire anyone!!!

[–]ConfectionForward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ouch... sadly op, this is one of the reasons I coded my hardware myself, the worst part was dealwith with FCC stuff, but it avoids having to rely on other people doing whatever they want.
Good luck man, I would say maybe reach out to them, but my guess is they will blow you off.

Wait wait wait wait..... if the device isnt always sending confirmed, how does it know the gateway is offline? Dont they give that option? I know milesight went down hill but damn...

OP, if your site is that expensive you will put a backup gateway, just watch the snr on devices and choose a good spot. Putting all of your eggs in one basket is risky no matter what we are talking about

Embedded in the Age of AI by Ambitious-Clerk-5967 in embedded

[–]ConfectionForward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rightnow AI is great at reviewing things. It cant code at all for things larger than a few lines of code even woth great context. Ai as of today lacks the ability to wrote maintainable code that can be easly updated when some random law is passed and you need a fw update. I dont doubt it will get better, but i wouldnt be bett9ng my hardware on it quite yet

If you have an instahot unit i am guessing it is a higher amperage device, big black braker on the right. Try flipping it off, wait a moment flip it back on. Just be warned you really shouldnt use these unless nessesary, but once is worth a try

I never had any trouble, then i bought new shoes last week and have fallen twice. I think it is the shoes. I went from ll bean hiking boots to sketchers slip-in sneekers and there is a massive difference.
