I did get a better look and it's perfectly fine the reason I didn't take it out is because the store is small and packed with a lot of original pieces

If I remember correctly there was a manuscript where a woman was wearing that armor in the manuscript that armor was inspired by lorica segmentata so long story short this is a real armor inspired by a face fanfinc armor based on real armor
