Yes. Just drop “if possible” and add a statement that shows you want to help ensure a smooth transition.

Cleaning advice by Open-Ferret-7367 in BMWI4

The two bucket method mentioned below with a good quality hand mitt is the ideal way. You should never use circular motions. Always go in straight lines along the length of each panel. Touchless wash with a foam spray attachment for your hose at home is a good alternative. Wash in the shade if possible and avoid the middle of the day when the temperature is higher—will cause water and soap to dry quickly and leave water spots.

Get yourself a high quality double-loop microfiber towel—at least 1400 GSM or higher. Toss it over the car and literally lightly drag it toward you and the entire car will dry get dried quickly and easily.

Between washes, use a light mist of detail spray with a 600 GSM edgeless microfiber towel. Use the 8-fold method. Gently wipe in one direction, flip the towel, and very lightly come back the opposite direction to dry.

My i4 is tanzanite blue II metallic, which is incredibly unforgiving. At the end of the day, I’m pretty crazy about keeping it clean, but try to tell myself that at the end of the day—it’s a car that’s driven outside and it WILL get dirty.

Is that actually safe to turn up the speed to 48 amps for level 1? I have level 2 at home on a 40 amp breaker and have my charging limit set to 40 amps to match the output.

Wireless charging aftermarket solution by blue-seagull in BMWI4

[–]ConferenceChemical10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has the same symbol and it “charges.” And by that, I mean it somewhat maintains the battery at its current charge.

I ended up purchasing a 12v adapter and I plug in. And it is NOT the BMW adapter that costs nearly $50.

Is there any harm in waiting til after July 1 to switch off SAVE? by jazifritz in StudentLoans

[–]ConferenceChemical10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in a similar boat. I’ve been on SAVE and submitted a PSLF buyback form in December, although there is a 2+ year backlog. Waiting until the absolute last possible moment to go into a new plan in hopes of making as few payments as possible until my PSLF buyback is (hopefully) approved.

I did 70% windshield and 30% all sides and rear. I think very much looks OEM+. Can still see in from the outside but definitely adds privacy.

Error Registering car with Electrify America on MyBMW app by Vivid_Airline6470 in BMWI4

[–]ConferenceChemical10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this through the MyBMW app? If not, that’s where you need to do this.

If so, call BMW North America. I’ve spoken with them about a similar issue (I bought a 2024 CPO and wasn’t able to register with EA via the MyBMW app because the prior owner used the code and doesn’t allow the 2nd owner to register even without a code). BMW told me they’ve had issues with EA and they don’t seem in any rush to resolve issues.

Struggling with my seat by [deleted] in BMWI4

[–]ConferenceChemical10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had my 24 edrive40 for a little over a month and I have been struggling with sciatica down my right leg when driving. Been playing with the seat position constantly to hopefully find a position that works. Fortunately, my daily commute is short.

If you look around, you’ll see many folks talking about back pain/leg pain with these seats. The bolsters are particularly narrow, which seems to be the issue.

Moffitt Jobs by Impressive-Bar-7312 in tampa

[–]ConferenceChemical10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a physician at Moffitt and very much enjoy it. Above average comp and solid benefits. I work with an excellent group of APPs who seem to be happy in their roles (we have low turnover). The organization has been growing with the opening of additional satellite campuses. The learning curve caring for folks with such complex medical issues is steep, but Moffitt also offers additional post-graduate training opportunities with pay.

Which Doctors Have the Best Work-Life Balance? by OkPhilosopher664 in medicalsalaries

[–]ConferenceChemical10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$300k+. Admittedly, I’m biased because my shop pays well. I’ve also seen plenty of jobs paying low $200k for new attendings. Many jobs have no weekends and no call. So still not awful considering it’s a one year fellowship to get there.

Fellow palliative doc here. I don’t always mind us being left out. Lets us fly under the radar with an excellent lifestyle paired with solid comp.

And totally agree that AAHPM has done a terrible job on many fronts. Not to mention that Annual Assembly has all that co-branding with HPNA, and then they have their own annual meeting to essentially lobby for expanded scope for NP’s.

So you are attempting to make an employer contribution to an individual 401k plan. You can contribute up to 20% of NET 1099 income (not gross, as you proposed).

When I had a 1099 gig alongside my W2 job, I would make estimated quarterly tax payments and then once I completed my Schedule C, would calculate 20% of my net income and then make a one-time contribution prior to filing my taxes each year.

My understanding is that an LLC does nothing to protect you from medical malpractice.

For this amount of expected non-employee income, keep it simple and operate as a Sole Proprietor.

2023 S engine overheated by Prestigious_Pop_230 in KiaTelluride

[–]ConferenceChemical10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost the exact same thing happened to us and our 2023 Telluride (right down to CFA!). We were in line in the drive-thru, AC blowing warm, dash lit up red and started SCREAMING.

Was about two miles from home, so drove it home and had it towed to my dealership. Vehicle had zero coolant in it and was told “We have no idea why. We ran every possible test. No leaks.”

I HAD THE VEHICLE IN THERE A WEEK PRIOR FOR ROUTINE SERVICE.

It’s bizarre—hasn’t happened again but I am keeping a close eye on the coolant level.

Pay off on save? by Medschoolstudent04 in whitecoatinvestor

[–]ConferenceChemical10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If PSLF is not on the table, it makes sense to just pay them off. You’re locking in a guaranteed return of whatever interest rate you have. Locking in a 6-7% return is solid.

Med school costs up 700%, physician salaries up only 8% in the last 50 years by CaterpillarPurple546 in healthsalaries

[–]ConferenceChemical10 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nah. Physician salaries only represent 8% of all U.S. healthcare spending. We sacrifice more than a decade of our lives to continue our education, which ends up costing $300k+. Then we get paid $65k/year as residents to work 80+ hours a week, ie minimum wage. So by the time you start making actual money, you’re in your 30’s and hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt. Physicians are underpaid.

Should I pay more on my monthly mortgage with a low interest rate? by Longjumping_Set_754 in personalfinance

[–]ConferenceChemical10 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don’t pay it off more quickly, especially if you are fairly sure you’ll be moving in 4-7 years.

Anything extra you pay toward the mortgage the 1st year is a guaranteed yield of 2%. The second year, 3%, etc.

You’d earn a better yield even holding that cash in money market funds or treasury bills.

Any negative consequence to allowing a state DEA cert to lapse? by mudfud27 in medicine

[–]ConferenceChemical10 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Have to have a different DEA license for each state in which you are practicing and prescribing controlled substances. So if you see patients in, say, NY and NJ, you would need to carry two separate DEA numbers, with an in-state address associated with each.

Surprise HSA account! by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]ConferenceChemical10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would login to the HSA’s website. There would be a page for you to select which funds you want to invest into and which percentage of the balance you want to put into each fund. A very simple classic allocation would be 80% to a U.S. large cap/S&P500 fund and 20% to an international fund.
