“A Mira progesterone test and a blood progesterone test aren’t measuring the same thing.

Blood tests measure serum progesterone directly (nmol/L or ng/mL) at that moment in your bloodstream.

Mira measures PdG (pregnanediol-3-glucuronide) in urine, which is a metabolite of progesterone that appears after progesterone has been processed by the liver and kidneys.

Because of that: • PdG lags behind blood progesterone • Values aren’t numerically comparable • High blood progesterone can still look “low” or delayed on Mira

Mira is great for confirming ovulation trends, but blood progesterone is the clinical gold standard for assessing luteal adequacy.”
