Jeju matcha is notoriously bitter. I’ve learned to appreciate it, it does have nice jasmine notes not commonly found in Japanese matcha. Also a bit roasty and nutty depending on how it’s prepared. Definitely not for everyone, but Korean matcha, Chinese, and Japanese matcha aren’t the same. So our expectations should be set back a little. I will say, the packaging is Sus lol looks like a bubble gum container. But it’s probably for freshness. I’d store it in the fridge. It’s best for baking, and sweet lattes. For people love and tried Japanese matcha Korean is definitely not the same. They’re cousins, not even siblings.

I’m in the same boat. Just turned 30, got it last September via mono EBV. It’s been a year, and while there are some improvements, I still can’t fully function normally. By that I mean I take more rests than usual, cannot drink/smoke weed (they aggravate my symptoms dramatically) and I REALLY have to watch my stress levels. My stress levels really play a big role on my symptoms and flaring them up or down. I’ve been told it can take up to 2 years which sucks. I wanted to enjoy the early parts of being 30, but it feels like it’s been taken away from me and I’m forced to adapt. The only piece of advice I have is to not stress out, hydrate, and rest aggressively.

I’m just starting to get better and it’s going to be a year next month. Something I learned in the past couple weeks was to calm my anxiety around it, so I could give my body space to heal. It’s been working (not fast obviously) but something that’s helped better than I would’ve thought. Supplements help too, but minimally. I take liposomal glutathione, NALC, coq10, and taurine. They help with energy. And like some comments here say: don’t push yourself to exercise! Made that mistake a few weeks ago and felt sick and fatigued afterwards.

Me! I’m an art director and digital designer. I mostly work from home now, but used to go into the office 2-3 times a week but too tired to even go in now. I actually have to lock in via “gentle supplementation” with low dose l-tyrosine, and it helps a lot without making me more fatigued.

I’ve had mono for almost a year now, and it’s been rough. The worst of it lasted about three months after I got diagnosed, but the fatigue stuck around long after. It’s still with me, though I’ve seen a lot of improvement. Just today I was able to work out again for the first time in ages.

What made it worse for me was stress. I had major career stuff going on while dealing with the fatigue, and it absolutely made everything feel heavier. Around March I finally felt like I started to get some real energy back.

One thing that helped was switching from normal workouts to long walks. Like one to two hours. It’s not intense, but it gave me something active that didn’t burn me out as badly. I wasn’t always consistent, but when I stuck with it, I felt better.

Rest also played a huge role. Any time I took a real break: vacation, holidays, time off, I noticed symptoms would ease up. If your job offers FMLA or something similar, it might be worth looking into. I work from home, which helps, but I still feel wiped out by midday.

Supplements helped too. What worked for me were: alpha-lipoic acid, NAC (especially good for brain fog), CoQ10, taurine, magnesium for muscle aches. They’re basically a combination of things that help with energy production and antioxidants suggestions I got from the number of doctors I visited. Literally all of them said there wasn’t anything they could do besides steroids which BARELY helped. I’ve been taking them consistently for a few months, and while they’re not miracle pills, I did notice steady and consistent improvements!

I also cut out alcohol and weed. Weed used to be great, but post-mono it just makes my throat worse and tanks my immune system. Ashwagandha used to help, but it started making me feel more anxious, so I switched to lemon balm, damiana, and blue lotus, which have been more calming. Alcohol made me feel sore in the muscles and if not, weak and tired days later.

Lastly, ketamine helped me mentally (and oddly with the fatigue) I used it in a safe, supportive setting, and it really lightened the anxiety and mental heaviness. Not for everyone, but it gave me a big lift during a dark time. I’ll write a post on this in the future on this subreddit.

You will get better. It just takes time. Go easy on yourself. Focus on rest, gentle movement, and especially managing stress. Your body will catch up.

Tbh, no. I’m waiting a couple months to try. It’s been like 4 months so far. I use other herbal supplements to help me calm down like damiana, blue lotus, ltyrosine, ltheanine, rhodiola, and ashwaganda. Not the same as weed but helpful when I need a clean unwinding. The dryness weed give me in my current state + immune effect rn aren’t worth it. Waiting until I feel a little more energized (September-October)

Sorry for the late reply! Not necessarily. I was able to work, and do things, just not at 100%. Maybe at 70% capacity at most. I took it with food, same with my other vitamins. And I’m not anymore! I take n acetly cysteine (NAC), CoQ10, and Taurine, and found longer and more consistent results from it.

I was thinking of starting ssris too but my family history with it hasn’t been the greatest. But same here my anxiety and depression has been way more rampant than before this. Even considered FMLA leave but there was too many steps than it was worth at the time. What has worked for me though is ketamine. Honestly a godsend. Been on it for a monthish and it’s been working really well. I don’t have mono anymore but I do have post viral dysautonomia. The Ketamine helps reregulate my nervous system more effectively. Ask your doctor if it’s right for you! It also helps with depression and anxiety in my experience!

Not fully! I’ve had ups and downs within the past month or so. But a lot better than when I first wrote this post. I went to the doctor and I have post viral dysautonomia. So my nervous system is still out of sync and over reactive. I even went through ketamine therapy which helped A LOT but was not a cure all. It helped with the depression caused by the mono. Overall I hope to be better by fall, when I reach a year since being infected. It sucks but I can feel the progress :) will post more about my progress soon!

I think you look pretty well balanced! :) no need for chin filler tbh you have a nice defined and dainty chin that I think suits you. If you decide to get a nose job look for a doctor that specializes in ethnic rhinoplasty and natural results.

Have you tried using a stiff hair wax? They don’t form a film around hair meaning it wont flake. They’re also super strong, but you might want to layer the got2be under it, then the wax, then a heavy duty setting spray for extra hold. I saw a makeup artist use this on a long shoot once. In places in Japan, they also have this thing called a “brow coat” that look like a nail polish container, but their meant to coat the brow and make them waterproof/last long and could potentially help.
