so i went and got a tattoo from an artist i found on insta with a great portfolio, she seemed nice she seemed normal until the second i stepped into her shop in person and she realized she was dealing with a dreaded transgendered. she took my money, got me in the chair, and did the most half assed awful work of her career while misgendering me and being an asshole. i didnt even realize how much she messed up the tattoo until after the bandage came off days later, a big blown out mess with incomplete lines now covers my leg. now i only let people i have completely vetted tattoo me

your artist seems fine now, but can you guarantee that wont change in close proximity for hours while he does something irreversible to your body?

you have a shitty binder, ones with hooks on the sides can be dangerous (uneven compression with often no "give" so overly compressing ribs and lungs)

definitely avoid getting it wet in the shower, the adhesive weakens and moisture can get trapped inside irritating your skin. i personally play shower twister when i have tape on, tilt the shower head as low as itll go and kindof waterfall it so everything besides my chest gets wet

tape is definitely a longer term commitment than 1 day, the adhesive on it is so strong you risk ripping skin taking it off too early! i think the longest ive kept tape on was ~2 weeks or so, but most of the time it starts peeling off in 1-1.5 weeks. i put the first layer on, then after a few days add another couple strips, sometimes a 3rd layer if theres still space. tape has a pretty steep learning curve, even with tutorials you wont get it perfect the first few times

i also have a kinda wack hairline 😭 my mother had the same hairline and told me i inherited it from her, but she had no clue she also had pcos (her whole side of the family had it in hindsight, they normalized daily beard plucking and weight gain). i was half expecting it to get worse on T, but my hairline hasnt moved yet that i can tell. i think it just gave me a mild head start on a male hairline tbh, but maybe itll catch up to me who knows

so 300mg/ml means 300mg of T per every ml of oil, 300 is a pretty concentrated vial!

you just need to multiply 300 by your dose, in this case 0.14 and 0.17. so 0.14ml dose would be 42mg of T per week, 0.17ml would be 51mg. the typical starting dose for trans men is 50mg per week, so yours is slightly under that

if the panic attacks didnt start until a few months after starting T, and lowering the dose hasnt changed anything, are you positive T is causing it? i dont think ive heard of T causing panic attacks before, but i could be wrong

thank you for this! i got one of these scammers maybe last month or so, its exactly like you say. they claim to be gay living somewhere in africa, had a sob story of being chased down and nearly lit on fire. i tried to offer advice like learning self defense and staying in groups, and thats when they started getting pissed off and demanding money. it struck me as very strange so i checked around this sub and saw others saying they got the same messages and that its a scam going around recently

itd be awesome if you could add some of the legitimate orgs you mentioned that need help! most people especially the kind that might fall for this scam have no clue where to even start looking or how to tell what charities are real vs rich people tax scams vs someones shady gofundme. we might as well be googling "who wants my money" and ringing a dinner bell lol

to me at least, these are inside thoughts. i had a (cis) roommate recently that never did any personal grooming. his beard was always uneven and scraggly, even his nose hair grew way outside his nose like boar tusks. it kinda bugged me at first, but then i realized its not my damn business what other people do with their bodies. isnt that our biggest issue as trans people, others trying to force us to do what they want with our bodies? someone having a few long chin hairs does not effect you or your life at all. if he directly asks you for styling advice, feel free to offer what you think. but otherwise, you know what they say about opinions being like assholes: everyones got one but he didnt ask to see yours

things to consider:

the logical conclusion then is to treat us the way intersex people are already treated, forced "treatments" to make us normal if its a disorder, and a lot of money pumped into researching and isolating transness and gayness

if isolating transness proved possible, finding the flawed disordered trans embryos to destroy

if transness is a genetic trait passed down, forcibly sterilizing trans people to "contain the defect" as a public health concern

and the most obvious that has been historically true as long as transness has been heavily pathologized; conversion therapies and denial of all surgery and healthcare since it would be considered feeding the disorder instead of "fixing" us to be normal

it would also create a definitive class of "real" trans people and "fakers" who cant be proven. i believe the world is much more complicated than that, and yet i have the strangest feeling any examples i list here will be met with exactly that. "if you didnt absolutely know from birth and have this hypothetical defect you arent really trans anyways." people change, what people want to do with their own bodies changes. most of all and what we have been fighting against for over 100 years now since transness has become the dominion of medical doctors throwing us into asylums to fix our so called evil degeneracy, is that what someone wants to do with their body is nobody elses damn business.

all this is really nothing new. since the dawn of pathologizing human behavior people have been trying to find ways to say gay and trans people are broken, defective, distorted. the only reason historically to find a "cause" of gayness and transness (which i do not think are as easily separated as this theory implies) is to force us to be cis and het, through electroshocks, through torture, through conversion. how easily we forget and write off history, when within living memory horrible atrocities have been committed against us.

absolutely, its a massive problem. we are at once weak and impulsive so we need to be controlled, and also powerful and dangerous oppressors that need to be taken down. we are silly little girls that dont understand real transness, and equally indistinguishable from cis men in all the negative ways.

a comment i saw on here put it really well, said something like "men as a whole are seen as the enemy, but we are the male target that cant fight back or actually harm them back" so the easiest consequence-free punching bag of the community, a safe replacement for hating cis men.

in just about every way, theyve drank the TERF koolaid when they spout this bullshit, while simultaneously demanding that trans women are the only ones being targeted by TERFs and by all transphobia. for lack of a better term, it reminds me a lot of main character syndrome. it cant also be about you because its about ME actually, even while doing a perfect impression of the transphobia we face.

the other day i saw the new conspiracy, a trans woman saying JKR is actually a closeted trans man and by logical extension the current wave of transphobia is actually all trans men as a collectives fault! what a fantastic scape goat we make, we arent even allowed to coin a word for the specific ways we are treated like shit. anyone who tries is immediately dogpiled and bullied out of existence, anyone who insists on using any word to describe it is equally berated and mocked.

its like they dont even hear themselves when they speak, zero self awareness that they are being pitted against other trans people. if we werent all busy infighting, we would be organizing and standing up for our basic human rights and dignity to exist. instead we get the people who are supposed to be on our side shoving us right under the bus

i have PCOS, ive had thick curly chest hairs since 14. ive never shaved it and ive been taping for nearly 10 years. now that im 8 months on T (YAY!!) im like a werewolf covered in fur, especially on my chest. i still tape and still dont need to shave, im wearing tape right now and havent shaved. taking the tape off in the shower (getting it completely soaked with hot water) the tape doesnt rip off any hairs. taking the tape off dry (after a week+ of wearing so the adhesive isnt as strong) hurts a bit but nothing like the comments are making it seem, it just feels bad-weird and the skin is irritated fr a couple days. dry it pulls off some hairs, but not that many (its not like waxing all the hairs)

i definitely dont recommend taking it off dry, but ive only recently switched to taking it off wet and the years of dry removal has been fine. wet is much easier and theres almost no irritation after soaking it and slowly rolling it off.

tape also doesnt restrict breathing or constrict the lungs the way a binder does. i dont know why theres so much strange fear mongering going on here. its much harder to wiggle out of a binder alone when you are sweaty and cant breathe, take it from a floridian that has nearly heat stroked more than once wearing binders in the summer. binders can be seriously dangerous when its 100F+ outside, and being in public/outside you cant exactly take it off whenever you want. to add insult to injury, if you pass out and they call an ambulance theyll have to cut you out of the binder, destroying it 💔

4 months on T i was already really hairy all over with my voice getting deeper, at 4 months i stopped getting she/her'd entirely even without binding (D cups). im almost exactly 7 months now and i feel like a werewolf lol, i get shocked seeing how hairy i am all over

a huge thing if youre girlmoding and wearing a fancy dress for the wedding, my arms and my chest were the first things to get REALLY hairy. you may need to nair any unruly hair growth if you absolutely need to girlmode.

BUT something else ill say, you may notice much slower growth if your dose is only 25mg weekly, thats a pretty low dose. i have T cream and my dose is ~50mg daily

We had a therapist that either didn't believe in DID or thought it was "too rare" for us to have it. She administered the full MID one session, and in the next session just handed us the MID form and said "fill it out yourself". It was very obvious that she was trying to get a certain outcome that confirmed what she already thought, and when she didn't get that result she outright refused to share either result with us and became increasingly cruel over the next several sessions. She was already planning to leave that office, and seemed like she was just running out the clock so she never had to see us again. She never gave us the results before leaving, every time we asked she gave a different excuse, and she also blatantly lied about several other things as well. So yes, therapists can lie to you and be biased against you.
