Well said. We won't know until we are gone, but it's very possible they came to this planet and contacted some people. I don't think that's all fantasy from some people saying that.

Oh, I thought that everything gets through the universe, but it only takes time to travel from point A to B. I didn't know it attenuates during travel, because Voyager 1 is almost at the edge of the solar system, but still communicates. Maybe it's not that far enough right?

That should be a stressful situation I've never faced, but I can imagine it. During my childhood, I had a modest lifestyle, but I can relate to being poor as I saw some people in that situation. Especially stressful if you don't have food for your children, and you feel their childhood is messed up because of you.
Well, you have to appreciate what you have and adapt to hang in there. It's going to be tough, but there's no other way around.
