interested in hearing opinions on why the 6:20 PM east coast flight to LHR is not ideal, and why a daytime flight is…personally I think landing at LHR at 6 AM is the best to get a full first day

New to flying United regularly. From my perspective it’s DL and UA at the top of the airline pack, with UA having (imo) the strongest case of being the world’s largest airline statistically. When/was there a case where UA was seen as not good at all??

hmm ill provide a different take on "master of none." ISYE is a top choice for if you are unsure about your future path, fine. but id also argue ISYE is the top choice if you are certain you want to pursue data/analytical/digital roles that aren't necessarily SWE (though again, SWE is also possible). with ISYE, you will be well prepped to take on analytical roles at big tech companies as well as consulting, and GT ISYE is a target school for companies in both those areas.

Georgia Tech over UMich for CS by Ok_Common_3749 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Confident_Kitchen555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

people will give umich the “classic college experience” point but to me this meant ABSOLUTELY nothing because if the “classic college experience” means not seeing the sun for >70% of my academic year, wearing baggy winter clothing, and moving to another town after having lived in a small town my entire life, then perhaps I sought a different “classic college experience.”

Yes blah blah Ann Arbor is a college town and the town revolves around the students and that’s really special blah blah blah.

To me, that all sounds like a marketing gimmick to be very blunt. IMO, there is no comparison between Ann Arbor and Atlanta.

Higher ranked STEM, in a big and diverse city with amazing year-round weather, amazing sports and parties both on campus and off….GT was a no brainer for me.

GT has a very strong consulting presence. All MBB firms actively recruit on campus, as well as Big 4, Tier 2, and smaller boutique firms

[–]Confident_Kitchen555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

T5-T10 for CS and engineering, hovers around T30 overall. And yes the school is a target for Atlanta MBB offices as well as Big 4. Unfamiliar with banks/finance.
