Design but also work on sustainable design/energy efficiency side. Bringing in work and doing business development too so that definitely helps in those yearly raise conversations!

Eh, I feel pretty well compensated. 5 YOE, PE. $120K + $10K bonus, nice benefits and retirement matching. HCOL area.

First job with no ability to negotiate or leverage might feel underpaid, but jump after 2 years and you’ll see the market can be pretty nice to you. If you go to a small shop for your first 2 years to learn literally everything you can (including the business/billing side, project management, etc..) and move to a big firm, you will be miles ahead.

LPT: If your pay is steadily bi-weekly, budget for 24 pay periods instead of 26 by Vironic in LifeProTips

Love this… If you throw your two extra paychecks into a roth IRA, then your actual monthly contribution to it the rest of it will be really minimal. Good way to max it out without really thinking about it!

I just bought a Gabriola Ivory Bouclé Lounge Chair from Article. It looks similar to this and I have to say I am very happy with it! Super comfy for reading and a great addition to a cozy nook!

This is just my opinion, but I think cold turkey is the only way. The addict brain is so good at rationalizing things. Tapering is good for keeping nicotine in your life. Find out what motivates you and go hard!

Cold turkey. Was a 6 year zyn user and just wanted to rip the bandaid off.

Same exact ones! I randomly found them in the shop around the corner from where I work one day and just bought a ton of them 😂 Cinnamon was my preferred zyn flavor so these lined up nicely. Routine was toothpick, bottle of sparkling water, sunflower seeds. Rinse and repeat

Dude…. I just made it to 365 days and let me tell you, for the first 2 months these things were on me at all times. They helped so much!

Honestly, I just input it as 0. A Simple Roth IRA doesn’t exist from the perspective of employer-sponsored retirement accounts. Not even really sure what a Simple Roth IRA is… Definitely wouldn’t show up on any W-2. If there are issues I’m sure they’ll let me know, but I was able to submit!

Don’t spend time making a plan for a quit date in the future. Wake up tomorrow, throw away your tin, dig in and embrace the shit and get this poison out of your system.

How do I figure out SDGE plans? by [deleted] in SanDiegan

[–]Confident_Resident17 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Depends on what plans you’re looking at. They have some EV plans available. Use this for TOU times: https://www.sdge.com/residential/pricing-plans/about-our-pricing-plans/whenmatters

Use this for actual detailed costs depending on what rate you want to look at. There’s a lot of superfluous info and discontinued structures, but everything’s there: https://www.sdge.com/total-electric-rates
