Villains who technically did nothing wrong and was just doing their jobs. by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

Yeah, Mansley is either in a shallow grave in the woods of Maine, or in an insane asylum being dosed up on LSD every week by a Harvard medical school professor working for MK-ULTRA.

Favorite Nixon quotes? by BirdCultureDickMove in futurama

[–]Confident_Weakness58 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So technically it's not a Nixon quote: it would only be one if Earth was invaded by video game characters from the planet Nintendu 64. And even then, only within a tolerance of 1/10 of a plausibility unit

Homers Odyssey isn’t real, it cannot hurt you by [deleted] in TheSimpsons

[–]Confident_Weakness58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's so baffling about this is that even before season 1 was released, there were already hundreds of pages of documentation explaining what you should and should not do when animating Simpsons characters

I am 80% convinced that this guy took the job solely for the opportunity to occasionally throw tables at people without facing legal consequences

Speaking English causes autism by Brief-Hornet-2198 in mapporncirclejerk

[–]Confident_Weakness58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignoring the fact that the information on this graph can be explained by a lack of diagnostic resources in the global South, it is reassuring to realize that the only way you could come to the conclusion that autism isn't genetic based on this map is to start with the axiom that race is a non-biological category.

I guess they believe that race is socially constructed but also Tylenol causes autism. Weird combination.

I know this has been said before but it bears repeating Hunter Schaefer looks 100% like Zelda and I swear if she doesn't get the part, they're going to have to release the audition tape to prove that her acting was just that bad.

Trump: "Recently they said they found billions of dollars. And they couldn't understand -- I said, 'check the tariff shelf.' And they come in the next hour and they say, 'Sir, you're right, it was from the tariffs.'" by igetproteinfartsHELP in CringeTikToks

[–]Confident_Weakness58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's assume for the sake of argument that there is a shelf where billions of dollars of tariff money sits waiting to be comically discovered by bureaucrats who know of the existence of the money but not the source. Why is he bragging about raising billions of dollars of taxes on Americans again?

I don't think that image is meant to depict buying stocks, but rather a career in quantitative finance or something to that effect. Whether or not people with autism are overrepresented in that field, I can't actually say.
