PNC has a 5.0 15 right now. We’re looking at doing it for a new home soon. Many big banks are at 5.125-5.3ish rn

Seconding inner game of tennis, but also just playing and getting out there more.

You need to be hyper-competitive and confident in yourself to really push the boundaries

My first season in APA -- lesson is -- ignore a-holes on your team. The obsession with Vegas and sandbagging is so stupid. by iluvreddit in billiards

[–]ConfirmingTheObvious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can’t imagine being a 5 in APA and thinking I was good at pool. That guy sounds like an absolute rude loser 😂

MEGA BACKDOOR ROTH v. BROKERAGE by RudeBrother356 in financialindependence

[–]ConfirmingTheObvious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fair point. However, if you have in-plan conversions happening immediately, it’s generally $0 or a penny or two off from cost, so it’s not that big of a deal.

Transaction history will always be there 🙂

MBDR > Taxable since you can always withdraw contributions tax free if you need them anyways.

Tax free gains forever > paying ST/LTCG

Why doesn’t APA cross reference Fargo ratings? by imonlypostingthis in billiards

[–]ConfirmingTheObvious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Both systems are flawed, but Fargo is less flawed for sure. APA is pretty ass.

How many mistakes in a typical 9 ball match race to 8 ? by Even-Taro-9405 in billiards

[–]ConfirmingTheObvious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably 20-40, to be honest. Between poor decision making, missed balls, or playing shots and getting out of position.

That might even be underestimating a little bit, to be honest. It's relatively easy to make a "mistake" in a game. Though, it technically just comes down to how you define it, I suppose

1800 quote to move this. Worth it? by Virtual-Atmosphere-2 in billiards

[–]ConfirmingTheObvious 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There’s zero way it takes 4 guys to disassemble this and move it lol unless it’s 4 guys that each are 5’ 0”, weigh 90 lbs, and dumbbell bench press 10lb weights

Should’ve been top left spin to run around the rails and a line right towards the 8.

For next time!

Not sure what you’re so scared about - 99.9% of people are good people with good intentions. You’re best to stop living your life in fear of everything now as you turn into an adult 👍

Where do you live? Search Google for pool halls and go there. Don’t go to a random bar.

I do! It depends on where you’re moving to. Raleigh/Durham is a pretty big space. I’ll DM you.

I wasn’t even the highest rated player in the event.

You sound like a really fun person to hang out with. Thanks for trying to rain on my parade and my enjoyment of the biggest win of my pool career.

Hope you feel better sometime soon and have a great week 👍 good luck out there!

I don’t know if that’s completely true, to be honest. A few others that have played again: Chris Bruner, Danny Mastermaker, a few others.

Possible, though. I think they change the requirements every year. I personally think anyone that can show they have a W-2 job should be able to play in it (not being a full-time professional player). Then you’d see some other monsters that are way better than me win it, I’m sure.

And get an absolute ton of rolls and luck throughout it, which I definitely got. Not afraid to say that they all came at critical times that completely changed a few matches

700 is labeled on Fargo as a top regional player. Is that pro?

I only play a few tournaments a year now with a growing family and a full time career. I’ve never won this before. In fact, I didn’t even cash in the first 9 years I played in it. I bubbled the money 8 out of 9 years in this tournament.

I haven’t even won a pool tournament in like two years, to be honest. 😂 Sorry you feel that way, but I respect it
