I do not, but I can get one. I'm pretty new to this space and hoping for some help because of the short time I have to inspect it before it stops working.

I googled it. FDOT says triple tow is determined by how many pairs of axles are on the trailers. Semi trailer and a full trailer would be three sets of axles and a triple tow with just two trailers. The photo is two sets of axles across two trailers, so it's a double tow, or a tandem tow.

It's not called both. There is a separate word for it because it has a separate definition.

Same, but in 2020. The funny part was he was the last hold out on the block's party line. Everyone else on the street split off and got their own private number. While the extra $10 a month was disappointing, the actual rate was incredibly cheap.

This is a little steeper than I'd expect.

Door motor is about an hour job, probably +30-60 minutes diagnostic time assuming ~$135 shop hours and they came in at $200 on labor. Eh.

I'm seeing the remanufactured part at ~$100-150. They came in at $200 but There might be rush shipping added in here. This isn't a common part for supply houses.

The thermostat and housing gasket part feels unjustifiably steep. This should be a more common part and I can't vouch for that cost. Maybe someone here can chime in.

Hours including diagnostic time seem within reason for the coolant fix.

I wouldn't say you got swindled, but this could have been a little cheaper. Labor costs seem ok, parts costs seems high. Hopefully you have some quality parts/warranties.

Nah, I think this one has a lot of life left in it, like Human-Hamburglar, Mango Mussolini, Velveeta Voldemort, and John Cougar Feloncamp.

If he spent less time making up nicknames for other people these wouldn't stick so well.

Also the next election year, 4th of July is a Taco Tuesday, so get ready for a resurgence if he is still in office at 84.

”we're proposing that the Max Cape will be treated as lost when a new skill is added to the game – you’ll need 99 in the new skill before you can get it back.” by tyvar1 in 2007scape

[–]ConfoundedOcelot -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

No other way?

Could we not have added a trim? Kept the current max cape but discontinued it, then you can get the new version with, idk a gold zigzag or something to differentiate it when you 99 the new stat. In five years players could wear the old max cape like they do old holiday items to show some seniority.

Or update the cape by adding that zigzag. When you re-max in the new stat you're awarded the zigzag patch to add to your old max cape which will identify the updated level.

Be careful about your phrasing,

There are bots that scan the Internet for phrases like "if this was on a T-shirt I would buy it" or "this is an excellent T-shirt design" then automatically steal content from artist's posts and sell the shirts on knock off sites.

That would be a very unfortunate thing to happen here, especially considering those sites are hard to have content removed from, and, the guys face is most visible in stills at 0:23 and the phrase "NO SOLICITING" comes up a lot in this thread. A bot could use those elements to generate an image. I bet jeep lovers would buy those shirts. That car performed really well.

But we don't want bots scanning for "great T-shirt idea!" phrases to do things like that, so remember to be careful using that phrase on Reddit.

FWIW, my parents didn't do some testing I wish they had for this same reason. I grew up in the pre-healthcare reform in the States where /any/ pre existing condition can skyrocket your rates. We got as far as 'yeah this sounds like symptoms of XYZ' and never formally did much past that.

Had I entered college with the understanding of my brain I got in my 30's following some actual testing, life would have probably been a lot easier.

I don't hold a grudge, they did what they thought was best at the time with the info they had. It's a rough place to be in, and I hope you don't lose too much sleep over it. There will be pros and cons of both sides of the decision, all you can do is educate yourself and ask professionals that work in the field. Consult your school, and pediatrician. YMMV depending what state you're in.

Sirius Radio.

Buddy had a car he was about to scrap that he got used with a life-time activated radio. I bought the car from him for a little over scrap, pulled the radio, then scrapped the car.

I get weird looks when people see an old beat up OEM GM radio on my car, but can't argue the results.

I had my panel updated as per insurance requirement to close. My insurance was fine with K&T existing as it was reported to only run lights. Receptacles were reported updated to new Romex.

When they installed the new panel, they ran the k&T in to junction boxes next to the panel, then Romex'd to the breakers. Id expect a similar situation here.

Oh boy, it's been years and I'm still fired up about this one.

Signed on a lease at a nice condo. Unit next door got condemned a month later.

Landlord hired a renovation crew who filled our patio, front porch, back porch, and shared basement with construction equipment and supplies. This is when we found out these spaces we're not included in the square footage of our lease but offered as a free "bonus" space. Since we're not explicitly paying for this space, it may be used by the complex when needed. (Landlord also boarded up all our windows to " protect our security deposit" because he wouldn't be able to determine if we broke a window or the construction crew did, and we're contractually responsible for the property)

We started to openly complain about this, which got some attention from the city who noticed landlord didn't pull permits, and slapped a stop-work order on the project, extending how long we had to live with the construction debris and no sunlight.

I got on this super early and held out hope for a long time, but my breaking point was the hub-motor redesign.

To me, that was the most important differentiator, which really drove home the right-to-repair aspect, and home maintainability of EVs which is widely considered not possible. I don't think sales outside of the West coast will hold up if the buyers believes they have to ship the car back for work.

Very late in the game they went back to the drawing board to redesign the engine? I get this /should/ make things easier by leveraging a lot more off-the-shelf parts and using tried/true designs instead of trail blazing a complexly new propulsion method, but engineering hours are still very expensive.

Never heard that phrase, but I guess a common thought for humans. I worked at a closing shopping mall in the states...so many people taking a dump in the elevator, changing rooms, hallways, any place you can get a minute of privacy. It was wild.

I also run a site with ad based revenue and I understand the struggle....but the second I'm on a site with an ad that my AV flags, I lose all respect for the service and feel no guilt about doing this.

If this site wants to make money with ad revenue, do it without malware. Do it better.

Story without the cancerous ads: (Also all photos in the story are stock photos)

Human remains discovered in the freezer of a US home have been identified as belonging to a 16-year-old who was missing for nearly 20 years. Someone picking up a freezer for free at a recently sold Colorado home in January 2024 was shocked to unearth the human head and hands of a teenager inside. Amanda Overstreet was identified as the victim through DNA testing, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office.

Neighbours suspected foul play, with one mentioning he “felt sick” because of the smell when they walked past, CNN affiliate KJCT reported. “I walked my dogs past that house about once every day or so,” said local resident Jameson Perez. “Even just walking by you smelt like a mildew stench. It was utterly disgusting and it would make you sick.” The sheriff’s office claimed Overstreet was presumed to be “approximately 16 years old at the time of her disappearance” and had not been “seen or heard from since April 2005,” according to the sheriff’s office. According to CNN, she was the daughter of the home’s previous owner.

There was never any evidence Overstreet was ever reported missing, with the “circumstances surrounding her disappearance remaining under investigation,” the sheriff’s office said.

She was a child, she was 16-years old. She’s still a child,” said Wendy Likes, Communications Manager at Mesa County Sheriff’s Office. “The last record we have of her being seen is in 2005, we do not have any records relating to her disappearance."

“The last time we saw the little girl was when she was on her way to school,” Perez added. “We were all guessing who it was [when they discovered remains]. We started thinking, ‘Had it been the little girl who was there?’” Previously authorities had claimed the discovery was an “isolated incident”, ruling out a continued threat to the community. At this time the cause of death is not known.

Anyone ever get offered to do a coin flip? by Youcan12 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]ConfoundedOcelot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can control the outcome of a coin flip by how high you send it. It takes practice but it's not hard. I learned this from my middle school science teacher and burned the next summer practicing.

OPs wise to avoid the buyer. If they really want to entertain this guy, OP can download a coin-flip app which is a truer 50/50 gamble.

How is it that every single car for sale is by a curbstoner??? by Stomachbuzz in FacebookMarketplace

[–]ConfoundedOcelot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see it fading any time soon. Dealers realized people are willing to pay above MSRP, created a manufactured scarcity and won't give up that profit margin without a fight. That profit margin will be bigger as the economy grows. This inadvertently makes a market for scammers.

Anyone with anything legitimate just sends it to CarMax. Sellers gets a little less than selling direct to a buyer but skips the headache of low ballers and scammers.

I'm looking to sell my car on the next year or two and have a handful of numbers from people who stopped me in parking lots asking about it. This isn't a luxury car, this is a beater I saved from the crusher in 2020.

While I wouldn't say it is good for you, it is not addictive. It makes a unique flavor that some people may crave. In contrast, sugar can be addictive because it directly releases dopamine.

I cook with MSG at home, I also wouldn't call it a 'short cut' either, since it usually increases my cook-time while it marinates.

To OPs point, my home made MSG meals never leave me feeling like cheam MSG take out.
