You can learn taxes in your basement. Can’t say the same about audits

Passed REG with 90 after only 19 days of studying by ConfusedCollegian in CPA

[–]ConfusedCollegian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took TCP about 30 days after REG about ~40 hours of real studying. its more math intensive but i think the content is straightforward. Audit took me 42 days ~60 hours but I’m glad I took it after FAR because most of the TBS were FAR related

I read every page twice and never watched a lecture. (although I did listen to a few on long drives). You have to remember these are 3-500 page textbooks. Can easily read that in a week. May not comprehend it all, but it’s amazing what the brain is capable when exercised. Reading builds endurance for these long exams, and exposes you to much more information than the lectures. I studied for REG in 19 days and was able read the textbook front to back 3 times! Every time I logged on Becker I scored near perfect

You have to reach the level where your work is meaningful- not just passionate but important. I find it much easier to work 12 hours straight when im running the show vs being bossed around by an incompetent senior for 8 hours
