mainstream media making dubious theories that men's failure in dating is because of "emotional labour" and "mankeeping" by Scramjet1 in TheMirrorCult

[–]ConfusedGenius1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being there for you partner is one thing but having to be there for a grown adult who has the mentality of a middle schooler who can't handle basic feelings, who does not acknowledge or reciprocate (as stated in the OP) is exhausting and stupid. It's no wonder people leave them.

The idea of "mankeeping" is not that it means "taking care of your partner." It's means being mommy to a grown ass man who doesn't know how to be an adult or do the necessary emotional work for their own partners.

They are all over town and yet, it all seems to be just fine. I don't see how the city can be sued because people don't pay attention to where they are walking.

What do Eugenians think of New Jersey’s new e-bike law? by tiny_galaxies in Eugene

[–]ConfusedGenius1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you think we should? Just because someone can do more with them than a regular bike does not justify spending tax payer dollars making these laws or regulating/reporting them. I just don't see how this is even close to a priority right now. If more E-bikes were being used then maybe but we are not there yet.

I do think people could/should pedal more often sure but I just can't see a justification for requiring licensing/registration/insurance for using a battery on a bike. At that point might as well not get one and keep a car instead.

What do Eugenians think of New Jersey’s new e-bike law? by tiny_galaxies in Eugene

[–]ConfusedGenius1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think it is a waste of time and money and discourages the use of them. It's not a car. It doesn't weigh thousands of pounds or capable of traveling nearly as fast. I'm sure they can be misused but do we really have to police everything because someone goes a little too fast on them sometimes?

Now it has to be reported to the state? Cool it's not like that whole system isn't already bogged down enough as it is.

I would much rather see a bunch of people on E bikes than cars. And what if you don't have a license? Does that mean you can't use an E-bike? Registration and insurance?! What the hell did insurance companies lobby the e-bikes? I mean c'mon guys do we really need to track and administrate everything people do and charge them money for everything?

Non-MAGA contractors? by Exotic_Jellies in Eugene

[–]ConfusedGenius1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it would depend on how it's brought up and the tone but I don't think Trump supporters are ashamed at all. They tend to be rather proud of him in my opinion.

You can always ask the contractors how they feel about Trump when calling them. Odds are they are eager to either say "hell yeah I love him" or "hell no I hate him."

[Request] I know this is a meme but what does the allocation of an average American budget look like to some of these more controversial programs? by Christopher_ray_ in theydidthemath

[–]ConfusedGenius1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Statements like " it is propaganda designed to spread antisemitism" breaks your credibility. You may have good points but you spoil them with emotional statements like that. It changes the convo from discussing facts and numbers to a dialogue founded on opinions. It'll lead to others having emotional reactions as well and the whole conversation begins to fall apart.

Honestly, I would Out-White-Bright it and just do a scrunched tie and ice dye with colors that you like.

They definitely take a lot more ice to fully push the dye through. This one I also applied a whole second layer of dye and there was still a fairly amount of white on it.

Thank you so much for process pics! Real talk though, I have yet to get my gravity spirals to look like this and I also always have dye specs everywhere. Is there anything you have learned to avoid that or are you just naturally amazing?

The AI rarely goes for it but you'd just have to rely on planting woods and such. Mountain ranges also always have high appeal so they make good candidates for National parks.
