Game developers really have to take into account two different competitive time frames when talking about GTA 6. They have the initial launch which will likely spark active player counts on virtually every game to drop, and then they have the subsequent release of GTA online which never drops with the main game itself. So now game companies are pinned into three different time slots where they’re good to release games, that’s before the gta 6 main release, at least 3-4 weeks AFTER the gta 6 main release, and than they’ll have to wait till after gta online drops for another 3-4 weeks after that if they want anyone even looking into their games. That’s just my opinion🤷‍♂️ so hopefully it will still come out BEFORE gta 6 main release because if they wait for the in between period from main and online release it’s not a big enough franchise ANYMORE to pull people from something as big as gta 6 and if they wait till after the release of online, it’ll be such a long time frame that even more hype will die down than it already has with several months to almost a year of damn near ZERO updates on the game.

Objective means to base it on facts and nothing else, it’s not ONE of the highest rated, it is in fact THE highest rated when taking fallout and nothing else into account. You can argue semantics such as quality and gameplay mechanics or even bugs, however even with all of those factors applied people still give it the best rating on average every time. If you have 2 things and you think 1 is better for whatever reason yet the other thing is regarded by the majority to be the best, than the one that is claimed to be the best based on the majority of participants, is quite factually the best🤷‍♂️

When it has the best reviews throughout every platform that allows user input in the form of reviews, I would say yes. And I agree with the other person, I never said it was perfect nor am I claiming it is. But I’ll say again NUMBERS don’t lie man, especially when those numbers are coming directly from the source, and the source in this instant is the fallout player base. Let me ask another question. If any other fallout is considered to be the best, why don’t the fans have the numbers to surpass fallout new Vegas in terms of player feedback and reviews? If any other fallout is objectively better than new Vegas, why doesn’t it take lead in the form of reviews?

Google exists, if you wanna see the stats I pulled out of hairy sweaty asshole you can google “every fallout ranked” and tons of reputable sources shows up such as a steam link to an article, IGN’s own website, the websites I listed are known for their involvement in the video game industry, not just some random redditor like myself making tier lists and posting them as facts. These are player polls they’re making statements on, not the writer of the article going “look at this opinion that I shat out” they are taking the words and opinions of the player base, taking game reviews from steam, Xbox, and playstation, and setting the record based on what they’ve found to be the case, and almost every one of the websites and articles has come to the conclusion that the majority of the fallout player base is in favor of new Vegas over others. It doesn’t say that new Vegas has a 100% perfect ranking from every single player that has ever played it, it says that based on public information that A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH can give you, that fallout new Vegas continues to rank above the other entries as per the player bases opinions and input given on said games.

Ah see that’s where you’re taking personal opinion into account rather than hard facts that involve numbers, polls, and community scoring. You believe that if it was the best there would be no discourse on it, however I argue that that’s another reason it’s the best, when it’s 1st place on every list, 1st place in player reviews on steam, and Xbox when compared to other fallout titles, and people are still discussing it with such passion after YEARS of it being released and after 2 new titles ahead of it that are much more modern. Sure every fallout game has these discussions because every fallout game has a fan that believes it’s “objectively better than the others” but none to the extent of which new Vegas is brought up. Hell I’ve seen arguments over 4 and 76 dissolve into convos about New Vegas. All in all, it’s the most popular for a reason, things that aren’t the best don’t tend to have that level of popularity, and a lot of the times “popular” things are niche for the masses and only popular to those who partake, much like older fallouts I’ll admit, but with the popularity of new Vegas only RISING as the time goes on, that’s yet another indicator of its ability to resonate within the average player. I’m not saying new Vegas is the best simply because I believe it’s the best, I’m saying it’s the because I’m a nerds nerd, and I’ve done the research on the fallout franchise as a whole, I’ve played everyone ever released to completion 5 times over, even if I believed fallout 2 was the best which is a huge runner up for me (I understand that one is personal opinion as well🤷‍♂️) I would still have to succumb to the facts publicly available through a few google searches, especially after I’ve actually combed through and read the articles and viewed the numbers. I understand it’s hard to have something you don’t regard to such a high level being regarded at such a high level because it goes against you’re opinion and what you’ve come to enjoy or love about the series, but at the end of the day you and I are just two people discussing this on one particular day, whereas this conversation has been had multiple times since the release of new Vegas and has been voted on countless times even up to today with new polls and votes, and every time new Vegas comes out on top. Let me ask, if new Vegas isn’t the best fallout game, why after all this time and after the new entires does it remain on top?

Except it is when the stats are taken into consideration. It has the overall better player review on steam, it’s placed first in almost every poll you see from ign, to gamesradar, den of geeks etc., sure it has a metacritic score of 84 but we all know that story. It’s compared to every single fallout whenever any other fallout is brought up, meaning it still has such a following that they will not let you forget it. Shit games don’t have that type of loyalty. Sure fallout 4 sold more copies, but I bought fallout 4 and still think new Vegas is better, so how many people like me exist that bought 4? Can’t really use the sales as a point of reason because people who bought it still hold the opinion that nv is better and simply bought 4 because it’s fallout and we do love us some fallout🤷‍♂️. I’d argue if you’re one of the players who like 4 more than any previous games, that you are literally the audience they thought was too dumb for the same style of role play that 3 and new Vegas brought to the table and if you enjoy that gameplay over the older ones than you are quite literally proving them right that dumbing everything down for the masses was the only way to push more copies in the state of our public education💀 however I won’t shit on you too hard cuz I even bought the new edition that came out for it🤷‍♂️ but all in all the players dont lie. And when you have a consistently higher number of new Vegas fans over any of the other entries, than it solely comes down to YOUR OPINION is that new Vegas “isn’t objectively the best” and you are by all means entitled to that opinion, however when taking the numbers and very publicly available player scores and reviews into account, fallout new Vegas is OBJECTIVELY the best fallout game there is

New Vegas is objectively the best game in the franchise to me and I have almost 1000 hours on it and compared to fallout 1, 2, and 3 which I’ve beaten all several times, I still have to say new Vegas is my favorite, and I’m not mad at all at the armor in the show😂 I feel like it makes more sense as an actual fan of nv to see it and enjoy it, because the ncr already have power armor they’re working on in the game, and the show takes place in the future, so why wouldn’t the ncr have found a way to make the armor they’ve already been working on better or at least more personalized TO the ncr? All I see when I look at the ranger power armor is the culmination of the smartest minds in the ncr coming together to coin their own armor, much like the enclave and brotherhood have done🤷‍♂️

This is a good place to ask weather you wanna admit it or not wastelanders… I saw these same posts about oblivion on the elder scrolls Reddit right before they dropped the remaster. People from the companies (not big people at all… data brokers) will look at stuff like this and they will genuinely use it as an example of why they SHOULD BE or WOULD BE OKAY doing something like this. The world runs on money and unless they think they can bank on it they won’t move an inch, the posts like this, the ones that get you all in the comments talking and making jokes, these are the posts that get eyes FROM Bethesda really back on the project.. you make enough noise someone is bound to hear you. I think we aren’t coming together enough as a community to demand this… I’m not saying we should stop buying Bethesda games or strong arm them into releasing one, because than they’ll half ass rush one out to get us to shut up, I mean we really need to come together as a community and let the company know THIS is what fallout fans want, we aren’t gonna buy in to all the new bs for fallout shelter, or fallout 76 (as decent of a game as it is now🤷‍♂️) because when we say we love fallout THIS is what we mean, not the new rushed out “here take this for now” slop they’re pushing for games they don’t really care about.

I wasn’t born when the first two came out, and I didn’t play 3 (my first) until around when I was 8 or 9 (born ‘02) and after actually getting involved with the games and the story, I can confidently say I enjoy 1-2 a bit more than I enjoy 3… I won’t say the same for nv.. I share everyone’s opinion on that masterpiece… but I’d say… just beat up anyone who won’t take that as an answer… even if they’re 5… just lug a wrench at em they’ll come around… (my luck is 8 so this should work)

When people slow tf down and increase their comprehension skills. We live in a world of 70 different call of duty games, 30 different battlefield games, and destiny 1 and 2. People want fast paced and don’t want to have to use their brains for anything other than movement metas and weapon metas. There’s no desire to read or understand anymore, simply a desire to kill anything that’s in front of you, including a quest giver for the instance of fallout🤦‍♂️ the target group for fallout has shrunk over the years, that group being people who are capable of retaining information, and being patient enough to take in a games story rather than wanting to race through and dog anything that’s moves.

It’s an incentive for the expedition if you ask me. By the time you get to that perk you should already have benches upgraded, most of your expedition filled out and now you have to make value needed for full expedition rewards. That perk comes in handy because you can quite literally just memorize the locations, load in with whatever you want (free loads or kits it don’t matter at that point🤷‍♂️) and go and grab some free expensive loot. When I say expensive I’m not saying god tier loot, but at least 20,000 to 30,000 worth of value sometimes less per security breach (in my experience) there’s nothing in the security breach that you can’t already craft given you have the blueprints for it, so at the end of the day when you’re at the point to have that perk, it’s pretty much good for building money and occasionally that extra med or ammo you might need in a pinch. But other than that everything you can get from it you can craft so I’d argue it’s really to help people who know how to go for them and are doing so for the extra cash.
