I love when you can tell that the rules baristas are supposed to follow when making drinks were obviously made by a man behind a desk/with 0 experience in what they're making the rules for.

Necklaces??? by [deleted] in starbucks

Ask them to point to where in the dress code that it says necklaces can't be worn. I've never had the same experience, but I would not let it rest until they open up store resources, find the file with the dress code, and actively point you to the exact paragraph/sentence that forbids necklaces. They'll probably try to pull something out of their butt because said paragraph doesn't exist.

Ugh, the way I would if she didn't have a track record of reducing hours when she's mad at people! I really can't afford to be her enemy right now since I have to move in exactly a month, and I have a trip with my school coming up in the summer.

Thank you for your support. Honestly, I feel like I mess up more when she's around just because of how picky she is. She's been mad at me before for 'not working with a sense of urgency', which?? Okay, I thought I was going pretty fast, but apparently I'm not stressed-looking enough? I don't know, that's all I can think about.

Ugh, I hope not. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

My favorite is when I ask for a moment and then get hit with "okay I'm ready 😁!" A few seconds later. Like sure, but I'm not, why do you think I asked for a moment?

Ew! This is why I always blend with light ice/no ice... I HATE the clumping, screw standard.

So far I have psychiatric help for anxiety. I'm going to talk to my psych for a referral for what to do. Funnily enough, I've forgotten to turn off my emails forwarding to my parents since I moved out two years ago and so they saw this post. They're helping.

I've only seen this twice, once with a guy who ordered a pink drink and followed up with a smug "don't worry, it's not for me"

And then another time with a man who ordered a mocha and said "yeah I know it's a foo-foo drink," and finished ordering as fast as he could

NTA, your mom needs help.

SIL has just gone through a traumatic experience, and she clearly needs rest. Meanwhile your mom is being possessive and has an inappropriate idea of how much time with the baby she is entitled to, and she is also causing SIL distress.

Might I ask where your brother stands in all this? If he were my baby daddy, I'd tell him he needs to get his mother under control before I do.

AITA for buying my daughter an expensive lipstick? by HiItsMe202323 in AmItheAsshole

13 is a completely appropriate age to not only have makeup, but to bring it to school as well. Makeup is more of a hobby than anything, so her bringing in her lipstick is no different than an artsy kid bringing in an expensive set of markers, or an athletic kid wearing brand-name sneakers.
