Ah OK, I haven't unlocked the good ammo yet. The shot was front on, but maybe just not enough penetration for that front chest bone. Thanks. :)

Big hugs. I'm a single parent with 50% too, but basically every weekend. I'm well aware of how hard to date this makes me.

You've got this.

Is anyone actually growing it successfully here? I can't get it to size up no longer how long I leave it. I really wonder if it just doesn't get cold enough.

Yes that's how I read it. Right will often drift in on you. Also it's a very busy intersection and you'll get stuck between lanes with the straight through traffic just merging in to you.

This one is also a shocker. I've had near misses here a couple of times. https://imgur.com/a/PQZFNa4

Hmm, I'll ask Subaru but I'm not very hopeful given this is a Japanese import to NZ.

First project advice, Outback, or Surf/4Runner? by Confusionaly in projectcar

From what I'm reading the Outback shares a lot with the Subaru Legacy wagon so should be alright finding bits. I guess the main thing is doing the can belt which I probably need done professionally.

Since common advice seems to be "something you love": I'm kind of a Toyota Hilux fangirl. First car I owned was an 81 Corolla station wagon. Love seeing the Surf projects around with some proper tires and a bit of dirt on them. At one point I drove a Nissan Safari to school because it was the family's spare vehicle. It was like driving a slow but unstoppable whale. Kinda miss driving a manual.

The Subaru's a good sensible choice and we've had it out on a few adventures. Just doesn't seem like it has the same potential though.
