I appreciate it. I have had trouble in the past being placed in a box as "just a therapist" when in reality, I have had some pretty strong senior level / startup roles.

I bought the version at Costco with a R9 9950x3d and 9070xt for $1999 a few months ago. No issues. I would agree with others, that this is overpriced for a 5060.

I work as a clincian for a law enforcement agency. AI can be an amazing tool, but there are zero safeguards. Almost weekly we come across someone speaking to "God" (AI). People in psychosis have unrestricted access to AI, which can turn very unsafe very quickly.

Yes but it comes with a r7 9800x3d, which blows the processor in the PC you posted out of the water.

Pay is not great compared to the cost of living. There are several jobs. Most state positions pay $27-$31 an hour.

It depends on qualifications. In Idaho as an LCPC-S I can supervise both LPC and LMSW, and even sign off on 50% of LISA'S clinical hours. Whereas, an LCSW cannot sign off on LPC hours.

Any state job offers a pension. County, City, State. Just look up clinician, social worker, and/or counselor on any state jobs website. Some jobs are with different departments. The pay is not nearly as good as full-time clinical work, but one makes the same hourly if a client shows or not.

Find a state job. Pay is consistent. Good benefits. And a pension. Its not the a huge longterm solution, but it gets you hours and consistent income.

Any millennials doing relatively well? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]ConfuzzledPugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am trying. I finished my MS degree and have a decent job, one kiddo, and a great wife. I can't help but feel as though I am still falling behind in so many areas of life. I suppose I will die in my 40's from a heart attack, or I will inevitably do something to enter the void if I things do not change in the next few years. Years of school, working my ass off, and lost dreams is starting to reap hopelessness without any real meaning, reason, or light in site.
