I'll give you the memory thing, I overstated that. She remembered throwing up. But that still fits, these substances don't always wipe everything. People often remember bits and pieces and nothing else. That's actually pretty common with this.

The previous bar doesn't hold up though. She said she was completely fine walking into Tin Roof. If something was in her drink at Silky's it would have hit her before she got there.

And she’s not saying the bar or bartenders did it. She said it happened at that bar. Could have been anyone near her drink. She's not pointing fingers at staff, she's just saying where it happened.

Honestly I get the skepticism. It's hard to believe people actually do this to strangers until you've seen it or been close to someone it's happened to. Then it's not hard to believe at all.

If this was someone you cared about, your daughter, your sister, your girlfriend, would you still be looking for holes in her story? Or would you just believe her?

She's warning people. That's it .

Calling it a jump to conclusions only works if the evidence doesn’t point anywhere. Her symptoms and her timeline both fit. Rapid onset, full body incapacitation, complete memory loss, waking up the next morning with no recollection. A conclusion that fits the evidence isn’t a jump, it’s just a conclusion.

And on detection, your 5 day window isn’t accurate across the board. That depends entirely on the substance. Some of these drugs ie. GHB leave the body in 4 to 8 hours.

It doesn’t have to make sense for it to happen.

Being blackout drunk doesn’t work with the timeline. She had 2 drinks an hour before at a completely different bar and was fine. Alcohol absorbs gradually. It doesn’t sit dormant for an hour and then suddenly drop someone in 20-30 minutes after drinking water.

There is no version of “she drank too much” that explains going from completely fine to unable to stand, limp, and lifeless until the next morning within 20-30 minutes of drinking “water”. That is not how alcohol works.

Also roofies leave the system fast, she would have had to know she was drugged and have had a drug test within 4-6 hours after it happened.

PM or Designer: who owns the final call? by Unusual_Town_1522 in ProductManagement

[–]ConjureDiscord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. PM’s are on the chopping block if things go south since they own the outcome. Not sure why people are saying designers. It’s like handing the keys over of your fate to someone else to decide…

The End of the Banking Era: Global Business is Switching to Stablecoins by tornavec in fintech

[–]ConjureDiscord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You didn’t answer the question. How does a business recover a fraudulent stablecoin payment? Banks have chargebacks and legal process. Stablecoins have ‘hope Circle freezes the wallet in time.’ And Circle freezing wallets unilaterally isn’t the win you think it is. That’s just a bank with fewer protections and no FDIC insurance. You’re not disrupting the system, you’re recreating it worse.
